Now that Floyd has looked a bit more human, there is likely to still be big demand for "the fight".
Manny has always talked about how he fights for the people and blah blah blah... well now is his chance to prove it and "expose" Mayweather if he thinks Floyd is afraid.

Manny has zero to lose here as well... If Bob is correct and Floyd really is afraid to fight Manny, then why shouldn't Manny try and sign a one fight deal with GBP? Cotto did it. If Floyds side tries any funny business like saying he has to fight someone else first or whatever, then Manny can say "no deal, i told u Floyd was scared" and he can go back to Bob.

If Arum is so sure Floyd is afraid and the truth is that Floyd is the only reason for this fight not happening then they close the book and Manny gets a forever hypothetical win.

But if Manny re signs with Bob, it would seem that Manny really doesn't want it. I still blame both sides by the way.

It was a close fight. Maidana missed more, but he threw more, a lot more... and yes, his aggression was effective. They landed almost the same amount (221-230). The % landed doesn't really mean much to me. How many times did you hit the other man, that's what counts. Also, what happened when you hit the other man? Maidana's punches did more damage.

Now, none of that means anything if you don't do this better than your opponent for more than 6 rounds, unless you knock the other guy down or the other guy loses points some other way.

The end of fight stats don't tell the whole story. It's all about winning rounds. You could get outlanded 50 punches to 1 in the 1st round and win the 2nd round by landing 2 punches and not getting hit at all. At the end of 2 rounds the fight is even and you only landed 3 punches compared to 50 by the other guy... not likely, just an extreme example.

I don't nut ride either fighter. Look at my post history... just sayin tha Manny has a chance to finalize this drama. There would be no excusable roadblocks on either side. Otherwise who is Manny going to fight? Alvarado? No thanks.

If we are talking about the 2009 Pacquiao, then we are also talking about the 2009 Mayweather.

2009 Pacquiao cannot fight 2014 Mayweather.
