    Khan weight drained again

always the excuse, dropped in Amateurs- Weight Drained
Dropped by Gomez, Limmond, Prescott- Weight Drained
    Garcia, Diaz, Chino- Weight Drained.

Comes a point where its not always down to being ****ing weight drained.

I've been to Khans weigh ins at 140lbs and trust me he was dry. Deal with it, he's deadly at 147lbs.

Khans a talented fighter...always has been. But needs to get serious. Forget about a Floyd fight for now...still one or two fights away for me. Its allright getting a fight with Floyd, but you want to go in their with a decent run or a big win. Needs to get Garcia, Thurman maidana, or porter or a contender in the ring first. See where he's at. Ideally the new and improved maidana....the winner gets Floyd.

Collazo a gatekeeper. Good performance and good fight for a first at 147 but lets get real. Before Ortiz there was nothing of note for a few years, solid fighter...but would lose to all the fighters above. And to be honest Ortiz doesn't have it at the top level.

Need to get khan active and forget about the celebrity side of things...personally I think he falls apart against some. Genuinely hope I m wrong tho.

Actually think he causes Floyd some problems...thought that from his freddy roach days. But needs to go out there and prove himself...in a smoking hot division. molina...diaz...collazo...mayweather. Its quite a jump. Molina...diaz...collazo...maidana...mayweather. That sounds about right. Beat maidana and why not go in there with real confidence against Floyd.

Amir cant fight sep so maybe he will fight the winner of porter vs brook for a title, then A unification fight with fmj in 2015 ? And if its brook what a huge fight in the uk

Cant see brook getting past porter tbh, he's about to make the same mistake amir's trying to make jumping from collazo to mayweather, brook jumping from senchenko to porter. Brook should have stepped up to collazo level by now, would have been a perfect fight for him, cant see anything but porter beating him down, had nothing of note to prepare him for it. Good fighter kell, but they've ****ed up his career with poor choices till this point. If I was amir the only way I'd give brook a fight is if he took another big loss or brook manages an upset against porter. Khan is out there beating names, not elite but good solid gatekeepers...brook is still just talking about them.

If I was hearn and it's not gonna happen from their point of view I would leave the porter fight, take step aside money if possible and try to get collazo in that ring asap...or someone like that...even diaz then collazo and pick it up from there. Throwing kell in the lions den with porter, could finish him before he's really got started. I already don't think it would take too much to discourage kell from the game as it is...lets build him up the right way, rather than a complete sink or swim fight after average opposition. I like hearn and co...but eventually they've got to start thinking about building a career rather than cashing out fighters against top fighters.

funny how we swing from one extreme to the other. Khan was down and out and one win after a year out to someone who is far from the best in the weight and he is beating names and can call the shots on who he gives a fight to?

lets come back when he has beaten some names, plenty of competition in his weight class now, if he wants it

you cant have 31 fights and still be talking about building a guy up..

Kells opportunity to increase his level of competition is gone its getting to the now or never for him. At the rate hes going it could be one title shot and then spending the rest of his career at euro level.

look at someone like Ryan Rhodes good fighter - one world title tilt and then has to wait years for another when he's past his best.

the fighters Khan has beat are still better than Brook.
Khan has the higher profile probably bring more to the table if a fight were to ever happen - so khan calls the shots.

its a bit like hatton and witter. I could see Kell giving Amir real trouble but Amir is Britain's most high profile fighter at the moment and is back on an upswing after beating collazo who was seen as dangerous. Kell is loosing support for the quality of his opposition. Its probably another fight that wont happen unless they both get a belt.

Brook at this moment in time is less well known and has fought lesser fighters than Khan and he doesn't have Khans cross over popularity
    exactly like witter

    Great post..

I think you are right about chasing Floyd for now, and its good thing Khan cant fight him in Sept vs Floyd.

Personally I would like to see Khan in with the Porter vs Brook winner, its also for a world title and it makes sense if he wins then he has a bit more on the table vs Floyd who holds 2 titles at this weight already.
