After watching the post fight press conference I believe that Floyd is telling the truth when he says he tried to make it exciting I.e. Choose to stay in the pocket and trade a little.
But I also believe this gameplan backfired badly as he probably thought he could hurt maidana and buzz him but maidana was too active for this to work and made him look bad.
If you watch floyds previous fights there have been many instances where he has been swarmed by his opponent but he normally pot shots away and neutralises the attack. But in this fight i think Floyd only landed half of what he normally lands. It was quite uncharacteristic to see him miss so much.

For me, one thing is for sure. If they rematch, Floyd takes a very convincing UD and will stick to boxing.

I think the way you worded it insinuates manny has been ducking Floyd which is clearly not the case. How you shouldve worded this is "Will manny call floyds bluff?" Other than that i agree with you 100%. This is mannys chance to really call floyd on his bs but theres two problems:

    1. Floyd recently made another excuse saying that the pac fight will not happen because his ameteurish performance against bradley and marquez ko prove manny is not on his level.

    2. Marcos Maidana. If they fight in september it is very possible that Maidana wins that fight. This maidana situation is looking a lot like Roy vs Antonio and thats a scary thought for floyd.

Yes I watched, probably 10 times now, but a fighters record is not subjective. That's why it's called a record, because it is recorded. Whether he truly lost or not is all opinion.

Ohh, I'm not Asian or Black but an admitted Pac fan who found himself cheering for Bradley:hat. Of course there's bound to be exceptions.

He knows that he lost, but at the end of the day... he will always have these advantages with gloves etc.

He is not the best ever, he is not great. :deal:deal:deal:deal

Careful what you wish for. This fight was supposed to be easy money and anyone that is a floyd fan that says he saw this type of fight is fulla**** like floyd. There is no reason to believe floyd would have an easier time the second time around and dont bring up castillo because in the second fight two judges had that fight 7-5 floyd.

Imo floyd should move on and do a maidana rematch in may if possible and if im maidana id agree to it. floyd will be a year older and a year slower and ripe for the picking. Floyd knows his legs are going thats why he was talking before the fight about standing in front of maidana. he mustve realized in training camp that his legs werent what they used to be and he knew he would not be able to stay away from a pressure fighter like maidana for 12 tough rounds. in a rematch i think maidana wins. on second viewing of this fight i could easily see how people thought maidana won this fight.
