I prefer living in the past, popping up a fight like Jofre-Harada then watching the sort of rubbish that's on today i.e Broner-Molina. Cotto-Martinez etc. I want to see sweet science at its best. It's one of the reasons why my passion for boxing over the past year is like 10% of what it was.

On the contrary, Floyd actually looked very fast, he just isn't ATG level when up against that style. It's not a good style matchup for him.
I saw him lose to Jose Luis Castillo in their first fight, have a hard time with Hatton before Hatton shunned his gameplan and became a headless chicken, a past prime, slow Cotto gave him all sorts of trouble and now a B level fighter in Maidana had an even fight with him.
DLH put him through **** being VERY past prime, and when DLH, the guy who's famously known for gassing out in the latter rounds, gassed out in their fight, Mayweather took over.

Robert Garcia is a smart trainer and knew what to do, the main mistake was that he told Maidana that he has to average 100 punches a round. Maidana would have won the earlier rounds even if he were to step off the gas a little bit. Maidana is a fighter who keeps coming, but he gasses out, and again Mayweather was able to take over when a fighter gassed out.

I went in with the lowest expectations. It was a decent fight because it was close. I don't mind dirtyish or phonebooth fights. They are not for everyone though.

do you consider those loses to be as equally worse on a resume as getting KO'd by Rustico Torrecampo and Singsurat?

Any time you got a competitive fight where one guy has no losses, whats there not to like. Sure it was a little rough, but I thought it was great. I haven't enjoyed a fight that much since broner maidana.

Reyes or MX gloves are considered punchers gloves and what he typically use. But Floyd didn't allow them so he did a smart thing.

You do know that was when Pacquiao was not well conditioned, How about comparing Pacquiao when he started with Freddie Roach and having proper conditioning and training.

Manny Pacquiao - Fighter Of The Decade (Which Mayweather is NOT) :deal:deal:deal

Manny Pacquiao - 8 division world champion, For you haters.. 7 division world champion.

but you can KNOW. For example, there is a Floyd Patterson fight where he beat the snot out of Jimmy Ellis and there was ONLY ONE JUDGE, the referee. He gave it to Ellis, who kept the heavyweight belt, but Patterson should have regained the title TWICE. Thank goodness there are no more one judge fights. Patterson beat Ellis, Pacquiao beat Bradley, and Whitaker was robbed against Chavez. It doesn't matter what the official score cards say, and history should be kinder to the story in the ring with video evidence rather than arbitrary judge decisions.

Not at all, I believe he lost to Castillo but it doesn't take away from how I rank him. I would still rank him as one of the best in the last 10 to 12 years.

Manny is a pressure fighter but that's all that is similar. Manny is smaller, a southpaw and by far more dynamic. The fight between Floyd and Manny is a different fight but the fact Marcos saw as much success against Floyd opens the debate of what a much more accomplished and explosive fighter in Manny would do if Floyd ever decided to take that fight. I'm good with the rematch becuase the first one was so close and exciting to watch.
