Alot of people will call me crazy

    I love Roberto Duran

But I think a Prime Tito would KO Duran

Duran was great but at 147

    I think Tito wins

    just because of styles

to beat Tito you had to be able to get up on your toes and out box him

I dont see a guy following Tito beating him but what do you guys think

Duran was beat he beating Leonard in Montreal by rushing him

and getting him to the ropes

If Leonard boxed like he did the second fight he beats Duran everytime

You rush Tito your getting knocked out

If Barkley and Moore couldn't knock out Duran I have no reason to think Tito could. Barkley hit Duran with his absolute best and Duran didn't go down. The difference in this type of fight would be Duran's defense.

Tito was a damn good fighter at 147, but lets be real he wasn't in Durans league at 147:-(

Peak Montreal Duran in a 15 rounder would have outboxed Tito and put a beatdown on him winning by late stoppage or comfortable decision..

Duran had very under rated boxing skills Marvin Hagler recently said Duran was the best boxer he ever faced....

Duran could box but i never saw duran get up on his toes and move if you are in front of Tito you are getting knocked out I dont care who you are

Duran is a better fighter but Tito is going to Catch him at 147

He's not going to catch him because Duran is better defensively and has enough power to stop Tito, especially with body punches. Duran's defense is hugely under-rated in this discusion.

    Duran by stoppage.

His defense and counterpunching would be the difference. Tito would probably have some moments but I don`t think Trinidad could handle Duran`s punch very well at any weight. Duran would own the inside, outside and hold his own at mid range.

There`s more than one way to box. Duran didnt have to get up on his toes and dance to make a guy miss and make him pay. Duran knew all the tricks and he had no problem using them.

The power would not be that big of an issue with Duran. He dealt well with punchers. Duran dipped under hooks particularly well, so Tito's vaunted left would not be the deciding factor it often is. At 37, a bloated Duran could still take whatever Barkley could dish out. If you look to spark someone early, Manos de Piedra is not the man you want.

If there's any punch of Tito's that bothers Duran it is his straight right hand. That would be his money punch.

On the downside, Tito moved as if on rails. Duran attacks at angles and generally moves well in the pocket.

Duran wins this with his feet, slickness and punch resistance, imo. He would do a number on Trinidad's body.

Duran is NEVER going to get put on his ass by a fighter of the calibre of Kevin Leushing. Not unless we are talking the post 40 year old Duran.

Just too clever defensively, to get nailed by someone as slow as Tito, and far too clever offensively to lose to the Puerto Rican.

Duran by HUGE UD, or even late stoppage.

Lets not forget after 13 rounds Duran was winning against the naturally, bigger, stronger, and YOUNGER Hagler. Does anyone seriously think Trinidad was in Hagler's league?

Tito is pretty underrated nowadays, especially the welterweight version of Tito.

Having said, the Duran of the Palomino and first Leonard fight would school Tito, and stop him late.

Trinidad especially as a welterweight was a great fighter, he threw some of the most crisp and best combinations ever but as good as his strengths were he had some weaknesses and great technician such as Roberto Duran could and would be able to exploit these weaknesses. I think the fight would be very competitive through the first half with both fighters having there moments. Wouldn't be surprised to see Trinidad have to get off the canvas in the early rounds and wouldn't be surprised to see him get to Duran with some good crisp combos making a few rounds clearly in his favor. But I think later in the fight Duran would start to break down Trinidad likely landing effectively to his body and finding a home for the right hand. I think Duran sometime around the 8th-12th round would hurt Tito badly and swarm on him eventually finishing him off. Now if Duran comes into the fight in anything but top notch forum, Trinidad could easily win it. But if its Duran at his best I gotta go with him.
