Sugar Ray Leonard definitely . Sonny Liston was somewhat versatile as well , but was underrated for his boxing ability .
Hagler (see his fight with Bennie Briscoe to see a boxing clinic entirely off the back foot), Leonard, Floyd, Ali, Barrera, Camacho (if you are not counting punching power here), Hopkins, I think Duran belongs here too. I would put Whitaker but his finishing instincts are ATROCIOUS. Eubank and James Tony might belong, though Eubank is on a slightly lesser tier.

yeah I think late Pac is ridiculously versatile. He has made more adjustments than guys like Roy Jones, that's for sure. In hindsight Mosley and Jones look one dimensional based on physical freakishness. I think his versatility starts right around the time of the David Diaz fight, though.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. Versatility is another word for adjustments. No one in the sport has made more adjustments in his career than Floyd. From in ring adjustments. To age adjustments. Most fighters at 37 are done. SRL, Ali, SRR, RJJ mostly all of them were done at 37 because they thought they could still be young Floyd has learned to lower his output to maximize his effectiveness. Easily the most versatile in history. Not the greatest, but the most versatile? Definitely. He doesn't have the speed he had against Corrales. But he's a lot smarter now too. And his defense is more refined.
