Margarito woulda been a big style problem for Floyd. I wouldnt go so far to say that Magarito woulda defeated Floyd but he'd be a hard night of work. Floyd is a small welter and Margarito was a relentless rangy big welter who knew how to bang on the inside head and body.

People dont realize how tiring mentally and physically it is for a small boxer to continually have a big pressure fighter walk to them especially when that big man is good inside at close quarters and known to throw upwards of 100 punches per round.

Lets be honest no one knew this more than Floyd. Ever since the 2nd Castillo fight his opponents have been chosen pretty carefully.

Sorry Cotto beat the crap out of Margarito in the first fight until the plaster started setting in, in the second fight, he throughly schooled him and there was no way Margarito was turning that fight round. He probably won, one round if that.

Marg was getting to cotto in the 2nd fight too. Pac beat marg the most. Beat him like a drum but pac still got hurt. I think the 147lb marg againt mosley wasn't as strong as the heavier one pac fought.

 

Paul Williams beat Margarito in his "prime", and alot of people thought Joshua Clottey should have won the decision against Margarito as well.

Floyd would have made it look even easier.
