So says Hearn in an interview with Kugan. Announcement is imminent.

Why are they so afraid to face Quigg?

I don't think their necessarily afraid, just don't think the risk is worth the reward. The fight would take place on Sky, where would frampton go after that - Would Frank let them back on Boxnation?

Plus, the judging would be shady too, is it worth risking the record?

I think Frampton can make good money in Belfast defending the IBF should he win it - How much would Hearn offer in comparison?

I doubt Frampton is afraid of Quigg fella - but the Kiko fight makes sense for the following reasons plus probably more

    1) They have 1 more fight on there BN contract.
    2) Its for a real World Title not a paper belt like Quiggs
    3) McGuigan will be in sole control of the show
    4) The fight will be in Ireland

After Carl wins the belt let's have the fight with Quigg at the end of the year - I said yesterday on another thread that this would be the ideal scenario IMO.

Why face Martinez when you've already beaten him?

Rigo has offered to come to Belfast so why not take him on?

Cruz ko's Quigg , Frampton ko's Kiko again = Massive unification fight between Frampton and Cruz. Does it make sense now ?!?

I doubt that Hearn would send Quigg over to the states to get bashed up on a GBP card for relative peanuts.

Its better that they keep Quigg over here and have another steady defence whilst Carl gets the belt off Kiko and try to set up the fight betweeen the two at the end of the year for good money all round.

You know the answer to this but anyway...

Because Martinez has the IBF & Carl knows he can beat him.

Rigo is a monster at the weight and from a business point of view it would be crazy for McGuigan to go for him. The reason he wants to come to Ireland is because Bob Arum can't even get him a HBO date as he's to boring for the network - he doesnt even bring a big payday either. From a sporting sense would love to see it but everybody in the division is running scared of the fcker including LSC. All the main kids at the weight will face each other and ice Rigo out and wait for him to move up to Featherweight unfortunatley

Solaris only you could hate fighters so much you would complain about them taking a world title fight, Quigg and Frampton is stupid to fight right now anyway, Frampton beats Kiko and if Quigg can beat LSC then its a proper super fight unification fight for two proper world titles. Oh and if true team Frampton have just owned Fast Car and Quigg, Frampton gets a world title fight at home against a guy he has KO'd and Quigg has to go to America and fight a tougher fight in LSC fair to say Mcguigan who you have said "couldn't organize a **** up in a brewery" has done well for Frampton here. Great fight for Frampton Kiko is and great fight for Quigg both with the chance to be world champions hope they both win. Oh you mention Rigo and Carl ducking him yet never the same for Quigg why are you so against Frampton only you would find fault someone for taking a world title fight.

    Source?

What makes you think that they're afraid? Frampton and Mcguigan have taken the most sensible option. Frampton takes a world title fight in Belfast, should he beat Kiko, he will be recognised as a legitimate world champion. By doing that, he brings more to the negotiating table and becomes a more attractive opponent for fighters in the Super Bantamweight division.

I came here to post the same thing.

Hearn does not promote Frampton or Kiko, so I wouldn't trust it completely. Probably just means that Quigg is in talks with Santa Cruz.
I think Frampton would benefit from facing Kiko again, and it'd make the Santa Cruz (or Quigg) fight bigger.

Yeah, well done to Team Frampton for getting the weakest belt holder in the division whilst ducking the true champions.

    Pathetic.

Turned down fights against Quigg, Rigo and clearly ****ed up the LSC negotiations. Frampton should stop running and start fighting the best. Fighting a washed-up has-been in Martinez is a joke. He's been beaten twice by Rendall Munroe ffs.

The only person that anyone can argue Frampton has ducked is Rigo.

    1) Quigg - the fight will commercially make a lot more sense if it is a huge unification bout
    2) LSC - whilst they are mandatory, LSC has just faced his mandatory and will obviously look for the money fight in the 'unification' with Quigg because again it makes more commercial sense
    3) Kiko- the easiest fight out of the lot, and once again, the common theme, it will lead to fights with more commercial sense should Carl beat him

McGuigan, Hearn and GoldenBoy know exactly what they are doing ---> $$$$
