the commission agreed the gloves were not acceptable. they are agreed upon in the contract...yes...but they have a final inspection for a reason.

floyd had his gloves rejected once not too long ago. i believe it was in the cotto fight. they objected because of the thumbs and he wore another pair that were approved.

gabriel rosado and andy lee have both questioned their opponents gloves in the past.

rosado was put on the spot when ggg's camp suggest he wear the same gloves. rosado ended up getting cut pretty badly. he had the right idea. he should have stood his ground. now...he cuts easily and his career will suffer because of it.

andy lee wanted to weight jcc jr's gloves and even asked freddie roach. roach told him to go **** himself.

if u think ppl don't pull fast ones on this level, you are fooling yourself. maidana's plans to win were all about cheating. i don't doubt the gloves were part of that. his plans failed.

rios and his failed tests.

maidana/ariza with the smelling salts in the broner fight.

and now the gloves and dirty fighting.

Maidan was trying to use questionable custom gloves that the commission denied, the padding wasn't right on them. From there he went on to fight dirty, rabbit punching, hitting on the hips, low blows, headbutt, during the clinch twisting the arm, biting, knee, take down.

His corner was instructing him to fight dirty, his game plan was to be dirty as possible to ruff mayweather up. At first I thought the gloves were just a bad fabrication job. After the fight with all the antics it's not too far of a stretch to think they were trying to pull a Margarito type sht with the gloves.

i know how the situations work with the gloves because i've been a trainer for the last 16yrs. i'm not talking out of my ass like some of you fans that post in here. i speak from experience.

 

it was already in the contract mexican everlast gloves were fine. the red ones were factory gloves. lucas wore the same type vs j molina :deal

why have a glove inspection the day of the weigh in? why not let the fighters bring in their own gloves?

why have someone inspect while a fighter wraps his hands? why have inspectors at all???

the fact that the commission disapproved the horse hair gloves says it all.

horse hair gloves should be banned.

all gloves should be certified the way they are in the amateurs. custom gloves should be certified as well.
