First of even pacquiao contemplating this shows what kind of champion he is brave defiant just incredible.

"Indeed, who wouldn't want to see Pacquiao against Martinez, if Martinez and successful can come down in weight a little bit?" said Arum, who also pitted Pacquiao against Antonio Margarito in a light middleweight championship before.

"That would be a wonderful thing," DiBella said. "We would love to have that opportunity. I'm all ears. We'll talk. After Sergio beats Miguel Cotto, I'll be happy to sit down and talk," he added.

pacman could go up to his 9th weight class.:deal

    discuss....

I hope this fight pushes through. Win or lose this would be great for pacquiao, pushing himself to the limit before he retires.

I would LOVE to see Pacquiao challenge for a middleweight title. Or go for a jr middle not at a catch weight.

Its not middleweight if its not at the full middleweight fight. And funny how your calling me an idiot which is coming from a person that scored the first 6 rounds for Maidana. Please do everyone a favor and log off and learn how to box

This would be great, Sergio (should he win) vs Pac @155
Cotto (should he not lose too badly) vs Canelo

    winner vs winner?

He should try for a title at 160 (no CW). He can stay at 150ish and let the other guy rehydrate to 170-80 or what have you.

I think it's an extreme feat, but it would be just about possible for him to win. He wrecked Margarito with a 17 pound weight handicap. He shouldn't impose a catch weight so as not to denigrate the achievement. A full middleweight title for Pacquiao puts him as a top 15 ATG. (If he's not there already).

    Win over Mayweather
    160 title

These are both difficult yet doable things for Pac IMO. Achieving both is not impossible and it puts him top 5 ATG.

    Whats a full middleweight?

Middleweight = 154.1-160, anything in that range goes.

If PAC fights for a title at light-middle or middle that would be quite a feat but let's not handicap any body with a catch-weight fight . If you go up in search of titles don't expect the defending champs to handicap themselves

Martinez fought at 154 before but pac has never fought at 160 so the catch weight makes sense.

    Have you spunked your pants?

*******s and jokes aside it would be a fantastic achievement as long as Sergio isn't weight drained at the catchweight.

Ah the technicality. The fight is a farce if his opponent (Martinez) is forced to put his belt on the line without allowing to weigh at the full middleweight limit of 160.
