Manny Pacquiao Targets Middleweight Division

Not that much. Didnt even care for that joke title he won. I pretty much preferred his win over Cotto at 154.

What do you think about Pac's win against Cotto for the WW title that he allowed Cotto to weigh in at 145 and the win against Margo for the JMW title when he allowed to Marg to weigh in at 150?

 

Pac can barely make 150, this fight would most definately have to be at a catchweight.

 

Yes and Martinez is small for a middleweight even today (he only rehydrates to around what… 168?)

Martinez would probably make 157 or whatever with relative ease. It might not make much of a difference for Martinez, but it shouldn't happen for that very reason. If it won't make much difference why not just let him start at 160?

A CW just gives an excuse for detractors to denigrate the accomplishment, and it leaves that "what if" stain of doubt in peoples minds.

Seriously if Pac takes the lineal 160 title from Martinez he's a top five ATG. It would mean he's had lineal titles at 112 and 160. Holy ****. My mouth is watering at the thought.

How about Floyds win over Marquez at 144, when he didnt even bother making weight against a lightweight?

 

Wouldn't even rate it that high but since you guys like giving credit even if it doesnt deserve it here goes: Floyd took a 2 year layoff and toyed with a guy who was at that time a top 3 pound for pound fighter
