I've always said that Pac has better defensive footwork than Floyd.

People don't want to admit it despite the obvious. Pac is rarely in danger when Pac is moving backwards. He rarely stay on the ropes and circles the ring faster. Floyd on the other hands gets caught on the ropes all the time.

I've said this tons of times before, Pac has excellent footwork, not just footspeed.
And now that they are both aging in the ring, we can clearly see that it has always been Pac who was a master at placing himself in a position to attack and then getting out of the counter zone.
This is why the only counter punchers that will have a good shot against Pac are the likes of JMM and Morales who would counter him in the middle of his combination and will take his angles away from him as good as Pac creates it.
No FMJ or Timothy Bradley who backs up in straight lines and rarely laterals out of Pac's angles and who wouldn't counter in the middle of Pac's combination "will have Pac's number".
