I'd hazard a guess that he'll never have another WC again. A Billy Graham like figure if you will who only ever mentored one boxer of note. No shame in it, most trainers don't even produce one WC. But yeah, I can see it being the beginning of the end for him.

Changing the topic slightly, Billy are there any prospects you're aware of that haven't had much media attention yet?

 

No not really a few are getting unwarranted attention IMO but that's boxing

 

burns didnt look great at the start.nelson moulded him into a world champ.course he can do it again,helluva trainer.

 

Billy Nelson was tipping Adil Anwar off all people for big things not long ago, he just got Kod in 2 rounds , and has lost his last 3 fights

Nelsons a good trainer, but I certainly wouldnt go off any tips he has on boxing judging by his posts in here thats for sure

Bang on mate , ricky was very average , but with Ricky's work rate and mentality , with Billy's help became a 2 weight world champion.

 

in fairness mate he looked above domestic level when he sparred in my gym but you don't know what these guy are doing 24x7
