I doubt it, if anyone's getting stopped it won't be early in my opinion. That's what makes it such a great fight though, impossible to call it.

 

I keep hearing this over and over about Froch going to "Bute" Groves but it's not going to happen if Carl tries to rush George and flatten him he's at risk of being flattened himself because he knows George has genuine power to hurt him he has to apply smart pressure if he's going to win.

 

Spot on. I think if Carl tries to bum rush him he gets knocked out.

 

well grove was on the radio last night and addmitted he was gassing in the 9th
also taking more endurance training for thoses championship rounds which were not an issue last time round apparently

 

The last time Froch had a TKO within 3 rounds was 2007. It ain't gonna happen. He might win though.

absolutely, we saw last time what happened when froch tried to walk through gg early.

expect the usual suspects to claim "he wasn't gassed, he chose to go to war". i've said it before, look at gg after the 2nd round.

they're both gonna be cagier, froch not leaving himself so open, gg conserving energy. it should pick up in the later rounds (i still suspect gg's power will fade again) but won't start the same.

i agree with your thoughts on the fight

 

Neither is getting stopped early i'd be very surprised if the fight doesn't go at least 9 rounds Froch isn't going to rush like he did for Bute he knows Groves can hurt him badly, and Groves won't go all gung ho he knows now how hard Froch is to put away and will pace himself more i think this will go the distance but maybe a late stoppage for someone.

 

Re-matches usually go the way of the first, and the bookies agree..

 

I think you'll find Froch was just about to administer the coup de grace.

Premature stoppage, but groves had shot his load and given frochs track record of finishing a fighter once he has them hurt, i doubt Groves would have heard the final bell.

Bookies make their money by picking results and setting odds.
