Katsidis Vs Earl 2 , 4th of July

A clever part of the Mundine propaganda machine was conning the public into thinking anyone who said or did something that didn't suit them was a "hater."

 

I knew it was a heap less legislated down under but Boxing ain't run too badly here from a safety aspect .

 

Hard to say the same here after the Green vs Briggs farce.

 

Bloody hell Boss what I witnessed in the build up , fight and post fight was probably boxing at its lowest point seen during my boxing lifetime . Danny Green held a quarter of the World Light Heavyweight title once but his career has been all smoke and mirrors just like Mundine who didn't even win a quarter share of a title come to think of it .

 

According to BoxRec Katsidis vs Earl II is for the WBU (German Version) light welterweight title.

Two questions spring to mind:

*How can a guy who hasn't fought for 5 years fight for a world title.
*Why are an Australian and an Englishman contesting a German title?

 

I wouldn't have expected this crap from Katsidis

 

It's not a German title. Just a way to seperate the old & new WBU - new is based in Germany

 

It is a long way out. But not hearing anything about this fight and have to think that's a good thing.

 

I am really hoping Katsidis ends it early otherwise Earl might not be able to speak at all after the fight if he takes a sustained beating !

 

Seriously Katsidis was always great to watch and I have really enjoyed watching him throughout his career. Guys like him and Gatti are why alot of people watch boxing, these guys leave it all in the ring. I was really rooting for Katsidis in the Casamayor fight and was really gutted for him at the end when he had come back from the early knockdowns to forge ahead in the fight and then to be ko'd like that. I even was rooting for him against JMM too hoping he could pull of the impossible. Good luck Katsidis in this fight and whatever comes after. I am English by the way but was even on Kats side in the first fight !

 

Katsidis is also a little bit damaged.

I know Earl is probably shot to **** but Katsidis isn't far off being the same..... Might be a competitive fight after all the bad publicity

 

I'm guessing this will be on around noon uk /irish time....anyone know what channels will show it...even if australian channels ?
