Summed it up perfectly. Arreola was more aggressive this time and it only got him KO'ed. You could see it, I could see it, why couldn't anyone else, it was so obvious that the fight was only going to go 1 of 2 ways, Arreola goes into his shell again to avoid being countered or he goes for broke and get's KO'ed.

He is not wrong you troll. Arreola was winning before the stoppage, so it was a close fight. If Arreola did learn to move his head more and avoid getting rocked by that right hand, it would have been very close.

 

Yes if only he could move his head, or be in decent shape, or be less predictable, or feint his way in, or be more agile so he could move in and out instead of stand there to be hit, or perhaps actually be a good fighter he would of won.

So when he clearly tired in the 5th because of the high work rate he was setting that wasn't because of his poor condition? If he had quicker feet he could jump in and out and not be there to be hit by Stiverne's counters. If he knew how to clinch he could smother Stiverne's counters despite his lack of agility and head movement.

Boxing is more than just moving forward and throwing a lot of punches, which admittedly Arreola does do well. If you realised that you would not have picked him to win or even be competitive.

Even if Arreola had head movement, he still would have gassed, Stiverne would have switched his attack downstairs more. A good boxer can adapt like Stiverne did when he jabbed more and moved more in the 5th. Arreola fights one way because he is so limited which is why he lost.

No his serious lack of boxing ability and conditioning was his weakness. That has been obvious for a very long time. But so desperate are the Americans for a heavyweight champ, many seemed to board the hype train. Hes got a very average skill set but has got by on heart and toughness.

That won't cut it at the top level.
