Arum refused to work with Haymon long before Floyd's statements about Pacquiao dropping Top Rank, but it was only the latter that appears to have caught especial opprobrium and has been portrayed as completely unreasonable.

Khan is still a GBP fighter right? And Haymon is just his adviser not a promoter.

Why Arum being so difficult. That old man need lay on his bed 6 feet below the ground.

Chino's styly is rough but he is a come forward fighter who initiates fight. Bradley would duck low and can fight off the backfoot and can be slick if he needs to.

most can see this for what it is, a tit-for-tat move. because i ain't a hypocrite, i'm happy to criticize arum as i do haymon for the exact same thing, i don't wanna see anything preventing the best fights. although i suspect this is arum's opening move in siding with de la hoya in the potential gb power struggle. make no mistake, though, you are an apologist.

Bob, is a convicted criminal right? But, he is allowed to demand that khan leaves haymon, and you ****ers say nothing about this demand?

It's not tit-for-tat if Arum's refusal to work with Haymon predates any refusal on Floyd and Haymon's part. Arum's wanted nothing to do with Al since the Pavlik/Williams debacle. That was why he was always saying Floyd-Pacquiao gets made immediately if Mayweather were to go to someone who will yield far more control, be it 50 Cent or Don King.

    http://www.15rounds.com/for-now-vendettas-get-in-the-way-of-margarito-williams-ii/

He hasn't worked with a single Haymon fighter since then, aside from Lara-Vanes which was a purse bid. He reiterated his stance on not working with Haymon before the first failed Pacquiao-Mayweather negotiation, dismissing him as a sleazebag (http://www.badlefthook.com/2009/5/8/869011/arum-has-no-problem-dealing-with). I tend to think one of the two biggest promoters not working with probably the biggest manager in the sport tends to do boxing more harm than one fighter making a similar demand.

    This ^^^.

That was a very good, informative, and educational post by purephase. It's indeed a arguement- and thread-ending post.

But, one can assume that, as usual, some will continue to argue, probably just to appear to have the last word. To me, such posters just slurp promoters - particularly Bob Arum - rather than care to be fans of the fighters themselves, who, by the way, are the ones giving us the entertainment real fans so crave.
