I just dont understand how this fight sways people one way or another on how Floyd does vs Pac.

Maidana and Pac fight nothing alike.... nothing. They are two completely different fighters and their fights against Mayweather would look completely different from eachother.

I personally enjoy when Floyd's PPV sales flop because so many people (Floyd, Ellerbe, TMT, *****s, etc.) are trying to shift the boxing paradigm so that success is measured in how much a fighter sells, how many watch him, how much he makes as opposed to who he fights, how he fights, challenges he faced, etc.

I am uncomfortable with that, because those new criteria can be accomplished through smoke and mirrors (see: Adrien Broner). I don't want to be 80 years old reading ATG lists with **** like "Total career earnings: $XXXMM, one of the top earners in boxing history. Sold over XXBillion tickets/PPVs. Titles in 5 weight divisions." F*ck all that ****, it's supposed to be about the FIGHTS.

Manny has a much higher workrate than Maidana and theres not a chance in hell , he will tire out like Maidana did after 7,8 rounds .

Maidana was able to push Floyd by just being busy and had success before gassing out .

You tell me how does current Floyd react when he has a fighter in front of him that is equally well conditioned as he is and is throwing punches from all angles ???

Lets really think about this .

He CANT fight fire with fire , his power is not going to do anything to Manny and he definitely cant outwork Pac .

Sure he can do his signature shoulder roll and showcase his defense like he loves to do .

He just going to be giving rounds away .

Not to mention Manny is way quicker with his hands and feet than Chino can ever dream of .

Pac activity will be Floyds downfall .

this ^ I was about to say the same thing. I don't think it is Pac fans. I think it is boxing fans in general... not excited about lackluster numbers but excited that the "formula" didn't work as well this time. Maybe next time they will try to put on a fight that the fans will pay-up for.

I can see the same argument for Hollywood and mega blockbusters. At least with films, no one is stupid enough to argue that box office earnings = quality.

U act like this was the first time. Tyson did the samt thing and Holyfield said im not juicing took the test and bet his ass. its very simple bro.

    I blame Pac

I think the rumored numbers are pretty good.

Showtime was expecting more, due to the success of even greater mismatches like Guerrero...and since there were big name fighters on the undercard.

remember the Canelo/Floyd match with Danny/Lucas on the undercard. that was a nice co feature to add to the popular Mexican fighter on Cinco de Mayo. Too bad Canelo didn't do a thing and turned the main event into a dud.

80% of the boxing world will always blame Floyd .

Even after Manny finally gave in , Nothing but more roadblocks from Floyd .

Theres only 1 person right now who continues to gives out excuses and its Floyd and Floyd only .

Do you hear Manny telling Floyd "You need to come join us and give me fights under MP promotions and then you can get a fight with me ?"

    Nope .

Pac is not the one that's being unrealisitic here .
