I sense that most real boxing fans are growing tired of this gimmick. People are starting to ignore him rather than get mad, which should have showtime panicking. Sure, it's provocative to listen to idiots claiming he is the best ever, but these are not the keepers of boxing history anyways as that requires some attention span and critical thinking skills.

It has become "who cares about a fighter that won't even push to be undisputed at the weight he has stayed at for most of his career".
All this talk about undefeated is also garbage. All the top all time greats have losses.

I honestly believe boxing will grow in popularity again after he retires.

Bro, let's be honest: the hate floyd gets is just beyond what the world has seen. I've never seen so much hate about 1 athlete. People make things up about everything he has, and I do not know why.

By the way, mismatch after mismatch?

Corrales, Castillo, N'dou, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Cotto, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Cotto and Alvarez were mismatches? I haven't even mentioned all his opponents, but just check the level of opposition the guy has faced. He has been facing champions and top-contenders since his 18th fight.

Again, guys have been talking so much *** about mayweather that casuals believe that mayweather actually has fought nobodys. Check the level of opposition, bro! These aren't even all the fighters he has fought.

Or RJJ fighting a heavyweight like say Ruiz, or Duran against Hagler, or SRL against Lalonde, or fat out of shape Toney fighting heavyweights, these ideas are all ****ing ridiculous.

Floyd doesn't fight bums, but in terms of in-ring condition none of those guys were elite A-level fighters when they fought Floyd. He's an A-level fighter that is content to show his greatness against B and C level guys that also suit him from a stylistic standpoint. Now he's basically waited out the A-level guys he could have fought but he still won't risk a loss versus even a faded Pacquiao or Martinez, god forbid go up all of one weight class to fight a good but flawed GGG.

He's a top 50 ATG fighter as it stands, which is not chopped liver and should be respected. But he perhaps could have been a GOAT contender had he fought better guys.

who did he miss? that he actually could have fought. that would have given him a goat contender resume? Does Paul Williams or Margatito push him that high? he didnt miss that many fights. He wasnt always Money May. There was a time where he was the most avoided fighter in boxing .

Roy jones fought a guy 50 pounds above his weight class and did it gladly and won. I don't expect Floyd to go fight Bhop but don't act like it can't be done. That's it in a nutshell, guys like Roy searched out challenges everywhere, Floyd won't even fight guys in his own division. It's not hate, it's valid criticism.

No answer satisfies you brah, I don't see why it's so hard to accept that people don't like his level of competition. Bradley, provonikov, ggg said he'd go to 154. There's plenty he can fight, instead he waits for someone of limited skill or that is weathered to have a big win and then sets up a fight with them. It's so easy to see. He rarely fights someone at their pinnacle, go look at his last ten years. This is coming from a guy who thinks he's amazing but I'm tired of his match making.

I think you're holding him to an unfair standard.

Anyone other than Floyd who gave Canelo his first lost, would be considered a big deal.

Anyone other than Floyd who beat Mosley right after he decapitated that plaster fist bum, would be considered a big deal.

Anyone other than Floyd who beat Victor Ortiz, coming off Fight Of The Year against a then undefeated and highly rated Berto and took his belt, would be considered a big deal.

Anyone other than Floyd who gave Robert Guerrero his first loss in 7 years after looking impressive against Aydin and Berto, would be considered a big deal.

Anyone other than Floyd who got the W against Maidana after his resurgence under Garcia with 4 wins in a row, and a major sanctioned championship win, would be considered a big deal.

Anyone other than Floyd who went up in weight to 154, to fight Cotto coming off 3 TKO's would be considered a big deal.

Anyone other than Floyd who took Hatton's 0 what could be considered a big deal.

Anyone other than Floyd who went up to 154 fight a DLH who is only FOUR years older than him, and gave up 15 pounds on fight night, would be considered a big deal.

Anyone else who would clear out 5 divisions winning 4 Lineal titles in the process and repeatedly beating top guy in said division, would be a big deal.

Anyone else who has given up 10+ pounds in every fight because he fights in a generation where fighters aren't in their true weight class, yet got through in undefeated, would be a big deal.

Anyone else who would have been ducked so much throughout the early stages of their career, and still went on to put together a pretty damn good resume, would be considered a big deal.

    Anyone else who had

    Hernandez
    Manfredy
    Corrales
    Hernandez
    Castillo
    Corley
    Gatti
    Judah
    Baldomir
    DLH
    Hatton
    Marquez
    Mosley
    Ortiz
    Cotto
    Guerrero
    Canelo
    Maidana

on their resume, would probably be considered a big deal. I've seen people with less of a resume that get twice the credit.

The problem is, Floyd's ego, character, BIG ASS MOUTH, clouds people's judgement and they dont want to give credit to an *******. It's as simple as that. If Floyd was some soft spoken sweetheart politically correct guy. Then he would be lauded. But his brashness turns people off. 45% of The guys whole marketing strategy is built around people wanting to see him lose. That should tell you all you need to know. When someone doesnt lose, and never looks rattled, all you can do is criticize his opponents. Thats all thats left.

Anyone else with his resume, dedication to the sport, work ethic, would be lauded. But he's not anyone else, he's him.

Just stop. You can make a vastly greater CV of the guys RJJ didn't fight than that of those he did.

Searching out challenges? He climbed in weight but that was about it much in the same way Mayweather has or are you under the impression he started his career at 147?
