The fact that this fight is still close on the cards after scoring three knockdowns in a round is really a bit embarassing and should be a testament to how Marquez controlled that fight from round two on.

What's worse is 1 judge gave Pacquiao 2 rounds :-(

The Judge that scored it a 10-7 (instead of 10-6) round was compensating Marquez for referee Joe Cortez' FAILURE to penalize and deduct a point from Pac after Pac intentionally fouled and punched Marquez while Marquez was already down after the 3rd knockdown.

Judges cannot take points away for fouling. Only Referees can.
But since Cortez failed to do his job, the Judge did the right thing, by taking matters into his own hands, and in the process, covered his own ass by claiming it was an "error".
No one from the Nevada State Boxing Commission disciplined him, and nor did they make a statement about the scoring. They all remained silent, because they all know that it was the right thing to do, since Marquez was unfairly being cheated by Cortez' failure to take point away from Pac.

    Fair Play.

You know, Pac-Marquez I, II, and III were all very close, and all 3 fights could've been scored Draws.

I have read my fair share of people reaching here in ESB but this one definitely takes the cake.
Somebody give this dude an award. :rofl :rofl :rofl

So apparently there's a whole conspiracy theory behind the judge straightforwardly admitting that it was an error.
    Cool story bro! :good

That's boxing... 2 people get to control the outcome of a fight for 36 minutes... After that 3 completely different people have all the power

Honestly as a judge I would go through the same analysis. Maybe you don't have an analytical mind. I appreciate another human being, from a 2nd/third world c ountry can have his life affected by a punch. I would appreciate his decision and score 10-7

He did **** up. Marquez might have gotten more time to recover had Cortez called the foul. Or maybe even a point deduction for Pacquiao?
But it is what it is and we actually ended up with a fair result.

What i forgot was that it was because of Cortez we got to see the whole fight. Marquez looked done after the third knockdown but luckily Cortez let him continue.
