It's only 3 weeks until AJs meant to fight and he is the only boxer on the bill with a TBA
For the last few weeks Eddie said next week etc and now they start talking about damaged hands etc is AJ still fighting ?

You may be right it could be a mr stop that drip from brazil but should we really expect much more let's not be daft with this he is a investment for his backers and he is young and learning so fights at this stage are sparring sessions designed to show his improvement

    Does it really matter ?

He will be fighting at 6.30 in a near empty Wembley, most people wont be tuning in on PPV at that time.

Generally to the casuals they wont be intrested until he is in with a world name and it will all be over with within a round or two anyway.

Eddie is defo gonna need his float fight ,in fact i think he may need another as well or we will be sat around like in Manchester trying to fill the time, probably listening to half the fecking England football team how they are all massive boxing fans! :/

Come on Eddie pull your finger out and dip into the profit you're making on Froch/Groves and get AJ a decent name.

The lad's had 5 fights and a total of 8 pro rounds, why don't we put Tony Thompson in with him and get him ****ed up like David Price?

Obviously that would be silly however do you not think matchroom should be more organised and plan AJs future opponents ahead rather than no one only 2 1/2 weeks before in front of one the biggest crowds he'd probably ever fight infront ?

I think there are plenty of faded or fading boxers with a name that eddide could get if he was prepared to pay.

I don't think anyone's saying that. People just want to see him in with a decent name who will give him a few rounds and test him as well as a bit more activity.

The reason Price did so poorly against Thompson is because he was inactive and fighting guys who just went over as soon as they were hit. He may have done a bit better if he had had a few tests.

Is Joey Abell is too much of a stretch at this stage? He's on first so it won't be anyone approaching the top 50.
