    I said he was not right for the first fight which obviously implied I meant he was different for the second.

    At this stage I feel you are just trying to wind me up rather than talk boxing.

    you could use eubank v watson 2, too. but to claim a self-confessed faded gg could stop a never close to stopped froch when he couldn't do it fresh is in the realms of fairy tales, unlike a resurgent froch renowned for stamina and finishing closing the show on a gg with questionable chin and stamina.

    ok, i misread that but because you weren't clear. however, you state he was different between the 2 fights, whereas i'm saying kessler and montoya prepared for froch based on the bute and mack performances, but had to change their gameplan as froch did different, despite your claim he can't.

    You have missed my point.

    I wasn't saying Froch can't do something different in a fight.

    He has proved he can i.e. the Abraham performace.

    What I was saying is the same Froch mentally climbs through the ropes (with the one possible exception being the first Kessler fight).

    the 1 where he looked sparked yet still managed to get his elbows out to avoid banjoing the back of his head off the canvas? sure. did you clock the next few where gg failed to drop a concussed sitting duck?

    Haha Resurgent Froch?? Carl looked as tired as George did and if you want to go down the roads of what ifs then 'Maybe Carl poured everthing into that round as a last resort and got lucky that the ref stepped in!!'

    I take it that you are a die hard Carl Froch fan so there will be no reasoning with you but myself I am a fan of both fighters and like to look at things without favouring either side.

    that's a long way from clear, especially the aa bit. but plenty have said the difference in froch will be he won't be recovering from an early kd he complacently walked into. he made that adjustment in the fight and didn't get floored again despite being concussed. after that, what does he need to do differently?

    Froch enters fights nervous and quite often reckless.


    This is why he got caught in the first fight and why he will most probably IMO get caught early in the second fight.

    Groves is a puncher and it is dangerous to chase a puncher around the ring. This is was I think Froch will do and I think the results will be similar to the first fight, although I think George will keep his dicipline better.

    Your post above assumes that Froch will start where he left off in round 9 having 'made ajustments'.

    My contention is that he won't. He will start the fight much more like he did in round 1. Nervous and reckless.

    you're the 1 dealing in what ifs, i'm looking at likelihoods based on what we know. as aneurin bevan said, "why look in the crystal ball when you can read the book?"

    i too like both fighters. save that **** for the "gg beat the **** outta him for 8 rounds! froch didn't land 'til the 9th!" brigade.

    have to agree with antonio
    he is closing the thread just like froch closed the show on some one who as now addmitted them self that they were gassing and is now preparing to rectifying this , i guess fans know better than the fighter
