I see you ducked the second part of my question :yep Let's try again shall we: Where do you rate Geale at 160? Your move...
Since when was RING Magazine Australian? RING ratings - middleweight (160 pounds); Champion: Martinez 1 Golovkin 2 Sturm 3 Geale 4 Quillin 5 Macklin
I see you put a lot of stock in the Ring's ratings. You do know they rate Kell Brook higher than Maidana & Thurman
Not in the top 5 at 160, that's for damned sure - and that says a lot seeing as middleweight is such a garbage division.
Really? Have you seen his fight with total bum Noy Noy Gonzalez? He dropped Geale twice and almost stopped him, Geale was saved by the bell.
It's seems to me that if GGG sucks as bad as most people in here say, and is that overrated, Geale should make easy work of him. I just don't get why people think he should move up and fight ward in his home town in order to get credibility. Yet in ever hear people saying ward should move down and fight GGG in GGG's venue of choice. GGG needs to beat Geale, Martinez and quillin and unify the division before worrying about moving up. Maybe just enjoy a guy who cuts the ring off, throws hard shots, forces his opponent to fight, knocks everybody out and seems to enjoy taking one to give one. Not to mention, seems like a good dude who's not entitled or arrogant. It's a welcomed break from a lot of boxing stars these days.
WBA has just announced Jarrod Fletcher as Golovkin's mandatory and given them 30 days to complete negotiations before a purse bid. I wonder how this will impact the July fight? Fletcher is hardly worthy of being in the ring with Golovkin and definitely would fulfill a major fight like Loeffler insisted for July (ie. Geale/Kessler/Quillin/Rubio/Kirkland). I wouldn't mind Golovkin keeping the July fight for Geale/Quillin and fighting Fletcher a few weeks before/after as he'd be equivalent to a public sparring session.
