Don't you find it funny how the "who GGG beat? he ain't fite nobody" crowd are the same ones who think he's done enough to "earn" a fight with undisputed 168lbd champ Andre Ward?
Hasn't fought anyone at 160, but should get to fight for the lineal championship @168 is their logic.
That shows how much they think about Ward.

Yeah I don't know. I do know Chudinov has a fight scheduled with Patrick Neilsen, so maybe that resulted in the bypass? Look how often Sturm and N'Dam were able to avoid a mandatory with Golovkin though.

Potentially this could be a serious problem for the July fight against Geale. One option Loeffler/HBO could do to avoid this is fight Quillin. The unification fight would circumvent the mandatory. Fletcher is a joke though. Bursak had an off night to lose to Fletcher.

Yeah. It almost seems like the WBA pulled this just to fsck with GGG. I just went to their site, Fletcher listed as #2 - Geale as #3. Normally you would think when a titleholder is already in negotiations to fight a #3 and former champ on a big card the ratings org wouldnt rush in like this for some C level guy who kind of slipped into an interim spot without anyone noticing.

And yeah... Fletcher is nothing special. Got wrecked by Saunders, and Saunders, while talented, is still fighting development fights and only has around 50%KO at that level.:-(

Another GGG vs. tomato can? GGG is a scam wanting easy fights. GGG is already getting old and has beat no one. Pathetic. I'm sure his racist fans will defend him. He is facing bums just like Wilder has.

One wonders just when Haymon's pockets will finally run dry from all these extravagant purchases he's making with fighters.

My guess is that he'll move Chavez Jr. up to light heavy and feed him to the Stevenson/Hopkins winner, keeping Kovalev out in the cold even further.

Hey man what can I tell you, Boxing nowadays offers a way out even for cowards looking to jip the excitement the fans deserve. :conf :verysad

P4P, Geale is far superior to any opposition Wilder has faced.

Let us not even mention that obvious nose dive Malik Scott took to intentionally catapult Wilder into an undeserving title shot against Stiverne.

Golovkin shouldn't have too much trouble with Fletcher. If they meet he will probably finish Fletcher very early and then get criticized for fighting him. It is a no win for Golovkin. Much like Leapai was a no win for Wlad.

Honestly if Fletcher doesnt take step-aside money GGG should just relinquish belt rather than fight that bum. Why bother paying a % of purse to a sanctioning org so obviously incompetent.

The only alphabet sanctioning bodies that really matter anymore anyway are HBO and SHO.

Everyone is in it for themselves in this sport. I guess Fletcher would have his price to step aside. But it would probably come down to whether he is offered enough $$$

I hope it can be worked out. The guy is a huge step down even from Adama, who at least had never been stopped and boxed a competitive match with Geale for title. Adama for being an unknown in the US was at least a solid boxer with a chin.

Fletcher got KO2ed by a feather fisted 23 year old prospect :-( I pretty much guarantee noone wants to see this fight. Unless he goes on to fight Geale on the same evening.
