Both Froch and Groves where spent in that 9th round, the difference between them is that Froch would have got a second wind, so Froch needs to survive the early rounds, then knock Georgee boy out, Jamain Taylor style.....

This is exactly my thoughts. I'm surprised no one has even mentioned how nervous he looked before the bell rang once he was inside the ring.

I know it's a big if but if that right hand would've landed a minute earlier in the first round,IMHO Froch wouldn't have seen the second round as he was saved by the bell!

Looking forward to the rematch & may the best man win!

My verdict as well, Froch down at least a couple of times before Rob either stops him going out for the next round, or even throwing the towel in.

Cannot believe some of the $hit spouted on here.

Groves brought his 'A' game and lost to a reckless 75% Froch. Yes, lost!

The question shouldn't be 'What can Froch do to win?' For the answer just look at the last few rounds of the first fight!

The question I'm asking is 'How can Groves realistically improve on his 1st performance against Froch to win against an improved version in the 2nd encounter?'

IMO he can't and won't. Silly money goes on Groves in this one.

I'd say some fighters just will never have the stamina others have. Those fighters have to learn to set the pace to suit their style. On the other hand on the tecnique department you could say you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Yes, you know what you're gonna get with Froch. The unknown here is Groves (and ref and judges I suppose). Can George do enough over the full 12 rounds? Is his chin good enough? Will he use the right tactics?

Groves won't be stupid enough to start slugging it out with Froch this time round like he did in the first fight to prove a point which ultimately let Froch back into the fight & led to the TKO!

Groves will pick him apart, just wait & see! ;)

Why does it need to happen if Froch won first time?

He just trains better/is more focused and looks less lethargic and disinterested.
That's how it's an improved version. Plus the experience of the first fight, Froch more likely to use it to adapt IMO.

    Keep the platitudes...mate.

I honestly think Groves will do this again. His (lack of) discipline and stamina will mean he'll have to fight fire-with-fire to keep Froch off him in rnds 10-12.

He does this far too often and it seems to me to be his natural way of fighting and believe me, both fighters will revert-to-type with 80,000 fans bellowing round Wembley! Tactics will be out the window with this one and it'll come down to chin again as I said for the first encounter.

Each has his opinion though, hope you enjoy the fight.:good

he will die by the 8th round, hes not tough as nails like froch, u can tell that every blow landed drains the stamina of grovesy. its all very well when ur hitting the target all fight anyone could do it ahhhh lovely im just gonna stick the 1-2 and hes gonna walk into it, great nights work. as soon as grovesy had to deal with some punishment he couldnt hack it. its a shame because george is talented but if he dont get tougher, world championship level fitness and better resolve he might not go as far as he thinks.
