john 'the gorilla' ryder

He really calls himself "the gorilla" with that last name? He dindn't really overthink that obviously.

 

I mean the name in general. "the gorilla rider"... what's up with that? :blood

 

I think John is a great talent. I always enjoy watching him fight.

 

I think people who have sparred with him gave him that name because of his strength

 

and yes he wold murder eubank jr

 

Lets hope we do get to watch him fight - and fight a lot. This modern trend of guys fighting twice a year is terrible for boxing.
Im not quite sold on him yet though - he needs to tighten up a few rough edges IMO.

 

Eubank has always got the better of Ryder in sparring

It comes from the fact that when he is in camp he grows out his beard, apparently someone said it made him look like a gorilla and voila John "the gorilla" Ryder. The guys is a bit of a beast too, Id like to see him back in with BJS it was a close fight and if John had started like he ended and not been so cautious then maybe he could of pulled a result out of that fight. Taking nothing away from BJS either though because he boxed well on the night , clever fighter.

 

And what did Eubank say? He's not shy to say he got the better of someone in sparring like he says he did with chunky. [emoji1][emoji1]
