:good:lol:All the Rocky movies got some good quotes:

    "If he dies he dies"
"I never asked you to stop being a woman don't ask me to stop being a man"
"You're gonna eat lightnin' and you're gonna crap thunder!"
    "cut me Mick"

    Rocky 3
Clubber Lang: I'm the baddest man in the world.
Rocky Balboa: You don't look so bad to me.
Clubber Lang: What did you say, Paper Champion? I'll beat you like a dog, a dog, you fool!

My old trainer has a bit part in that movie. He works the corner of Mexican in one scene. He has a ridiculous mustache.

to answer the question my two favorite are Raging Bull and Somebody Up there Likes Me. Rocky is very enjoyable but it loses points for being a rip off of Somebody Up there Likes Me.

-Requiem for a Heavyweight - goddamn tragic movie and great because of or in spite of that.

    -Fat City
-Rocky - the first one is legitimately a good movie even if there's some cheese in it.
-Ali - Michael Mann directed the hell out of that movie
-Diggstown - a fun boxing movie if not a great one, plus, James Woods is awesome

Great movie. I think it was on Turner Classics like 3 or 4 months ago. The plot twist was that Ryan's character wasn't aware of the fix because his manager didn't want to pay him extra LOL.

Well there are four movies that really captures the meaning of being a fighter and also showcases the struggle, the fame and also the downfall. Million dollar baby, The fighter, Rocky 1 and Cindirella man.

What makes all of these movies great are that they focus on the charachters and the struggle within each one of them. And also the charachters around the lead charachter how they change / don't change according to their sucess in the ring. I can't really pick one over the other since they are all movies worth watching so if you haven't seen any of them, watch them now!

    It's an order.

I read the posts and I think I was the only one to mention Million dollar baby? Please for the love of god watch this movie it's one of the best movies ever made and it's about the sport we all love. God damnit Clint eastwood, Morgan freeman and Hilary swank stars in it!

the fighter, Cinderella man, and girl fight, personal favorites. but I really need to watch some of the older ones. Going off on a slight tangent, but The Wrestler is a great and sad story about athletes that never quite make it big.

I only saw it once and must confess that I had to be reminded of the twist! Must be 20 years ago that I saw it. Like someone else said it was shot in real time and was really atmospheric.

I think Ryan was a cracking actor who always improved a film.

I like when Morgan Freeman's character smacks the **** out of the gym bully.
