Amir Khan: Kell Brook will not fight Shawn Porter

Brook would be calling out Mayweather too if he had a chance of getting the fight, who wouldn't? Everybody want's to fight Floyd. Mayweather put Khan on a two man shortlist for his last fight so of course Khan is gonna call him out.

 

I'm glad Khan is talking about Brook and trying To wind him up, a tear up between the two would be great viewing.

To be fair Khan has been in with the best where as Brook has only been in with Carson Jones

From what I've read Brook/Hearn aren't budging on the fight being in the UK and Porter isn't budging on it being in the US.

Personally I think Brook should have to go to the champ and win the title there, unless Porter is happy to accept a bigger payday by travelling, but surely we should have just had purse bids by now? Then everyone either accepts the outcome and gets on with it or gets stripped/loses their mandatory position? Seems ridiculous with the date a couple of months away.

 

I've supported Brook and want to see him do well, but if he pulls out of this fight then he's lost me as a backer... doubt he gives a flying **** like but I'm sure many others will do the same.

He has to step up at some point, here's his golden opportunity after 32 pro fights. He was saying 3 or 4 years ago about how he'd fight Pac, how he'd knock Khan out, how he'll do this and that... well here's his chance to get the ball rolling.

He's now mandatory, Porter is the champion.. why should Porter come to the UK? He's the champion, if Brook wants the title and start backing up his words then he should be willing to go to the states.

Hopefully he does take this fight and hopefully he does get the job done, but he'll lose a lot of backers if he doesn't.

If both parties cant agree terms then the fight goes to purse bids. Once it goes to purse bids it's a case of put or shut up.

I get that, I was asking why it hasn't gone to purse bids already. The date Porter has to fulfil his mandatory by is only a couple of months away. It leaves no time for a date and venue to be set and both boxers to have a full camp.
