Froch doesn't do different!!!

Floors are chin, stamina and his face tears easier then toilet paper.

 

I picked Froch for the first fight but I can see a Groves points win this time. As many have pointed out Froch fights one way, but Groves doesn't, look at the difference in style between how he fought Froch and how he fought Degale.

Last time his training camp was horrndous, he changed trainers a month before the fight! Froch may come in fitter but Groves will come in with a more finely tuned game plan.

It actually wouldn't surprise me if he fought this fight in a similar manner to the Chunky one, counter and move. He could probably do that for 12 rounds against a failry sluggish Froch and end up on the right side of a wide points decision.

 

Maybe Froch always looks the same when he enters the ring...but he DOES fight differently.

People say that he put on a 'boxing masterclass' vs Abraham, but now we kind of know that Abraham is limited so simply was never good enough to beat elite 168ers. True, but bear this in mind. Abraham came into the Froch fight off the back of 2 straight KOs at SMW (albeit one illegal, but Dirrell was terrified...he was also terrified in the Fight Camp 360 episode leading up to it where he's re-watching the Taylor fight with his team). Although Dirrell technically took his 0, there was only a marginal blueprint to beat him. That was the one that Dirrell set out, and EVERYONE said Froch was incapable of following.

Anyway, I digress... The point was, for the first time in his career, Froch spent a whole 12 rounds without engaging in a tear up, because he respected Abraham's power. In the Kessler return, he respected Kessler's power, and his gameplan was to keep both those guys on the end of his jab so that he took as little punishment as possible. It's one thing believing in your chin, and quite another asking for it to be hit regularly. Froch has a 'face first' reputation, but against TOP guys, he is more cagey than people think...based on the few occasions he does drop his hands and wade in.

With Groves, he NEVER respected his power, and paid the price...so this time, I'd be EXTREMELY surprised to see him get dropped again!

 

Froch is getting beat inside 9. He can train as hard as he wants but I dont see what he has in his arsenal to counter the superior skills Groves has. If he goes chasing Groves will pepper him with counters. If he thinks he can keep Groves at the end of his jab his in for shock, Groves is too fast.

Froch will be stopped on his feet after taking too much sustained damage.

Note I did pick Froch the first fight as I didnt think Groves was as good as he said he was. This time I see nothing but a Groves convincing win.

Hence why he will be stopped on his feet.

 

In a championship fight? After what happened last time? Get some money on it friend, you'll get good odds on that scenario methinks.

Not until the 5th or 6th round though...Kessler lost the first 4 rounds (the fourth was closer), but all because he couldn't get past Froch's jab. I think the plan was to keep Kessler on the end of the jab as long as possible and avoid a tear up. Kessler being a great fighter, figured out a way in, and a tear up ensued in patches, but I don't think Froch wanted to do that more than necessary, whatever he says, or his gameplan would have involved bullrushing from the start.

Starting to open up in round 5 or 6 is also not so dangerous as going after someone in round 1...especially if for the first 4 of those 6 rounds, the success was all yours and you were warmed up, had your eye in, timing good and having taken a few shots well.

What Froch did was direspectful in round 1, and that's why he got dropped, because he had no fear or respect.

 

And if he wins AGAIN, then I bet you use the excuse of it was still the same Carl Froch.

haha, froch beat gg in a boxing match not a toe to toe war. Boxed smart, i never seen Froch so cagey. When froch retires it will be good to see McCracken with a few more fighters in the pro ranks what he has done with Froch over the years is incredible.
