Well its harder to judge their power if you sparred one guy and fought other.

well how can he tell he hits harder so? its very hard to compare the power of getting hit with heavier gloves to the power of getting hit with lighter gloves,

also i doubt Kovalev was trying to murder him in sparring people hold back in sparring not like in a real fight

also George was stoped by Stevenson, the boy still wants to be a contender maybe angling for a fight with Sergey, his hardly going to come out and say stevenson stopped me but that Kovalev hit me with pillows on his fists and and gave me brain damage. His not stupid , saying Kovalev hits harder would make him look bad

 

Not that it matters since they both have A level power, but I'm going with the opinion of the guy who actually fought them both. Usually sparring partners aren't there to try to knock you out cold. Not to mention the difference in gloves and head gear.

 

Does it matter who hits harder? Can't hurt him if He won't get in the ring with him.

One thing is for certain, Stevenson is afraid to fight Kovalev. HBO commentary said that they had an agreement for Stevenson to fight Kovalev, Stevenson did not want to fight Kovalev, so he ran away from HBO and signed with Showtime to avoid fighting Kovalev. Kovalev wanted to fight Stevenson and Hopkins, but they know better............

 

Adonis ran from Kovalev. AS far as power goes, both have sufficient to do the task, so in the end it will come down to who has the better chin.

 

Even just talking about Kovalev and Stevenson depresses me.

Obviously both guys have great power, but my gut feeling is that Stevenson has the most dangerous single weapon between the two with his big counter left, though Kovalev has more tools to ensure that his big punches land - throwing in combos from different angles and on the move.

Clearly both have the capacity to stop the other - shame we ain't gonna see them fight any time soon...

As for Stevnson - Fonfara, I agree that Fonfara should have his moments, and he can bang a bit, but ultimatly I expect Stevnson top have him outta there by rnd 7 or 8.

Also fight and sparring are big difference.

Sounds like a fighter trying to raise his own stock a little: I went a lot of rounds with a monster puncher. Kinda like Larry Holmes saying how Ernie Shavers was the goat puncher but he got up from his punch.
