    MERCER;

Better boxer, jab, all around more talented fighter, i think Ray wins a decision...

Tua was limited he had no jab, had very modest boxing ability, and was very predictable, when your 5-9 it's kinda hard to outbox someone that's 6-2:-(

Still watching Witherspoon vs Mercer. No doubt that Tyson would have stopped him. In 1996/7 as well. Of course a prime Tua would.
Mercer was quite slow, even more so 4 his size which was not big.
He relied 2 much on jabbing, did not hit hard (if Holyfield is not considered a puncher @ HW then Mercer could not crack a HW egg 2 save his life), his chin is over8ed (d light hitting Holyfield floored him, did not he?), was not big nor mobile enough.
He had nothing 2 keep Tua or Tyson off him wiz.
In Mercer's defense he was both a small HW & started his career 2 late so when he had any pro experience he was already severely slowed down due 2 aging, military career & probably other things as well.
    Mercer is so over8ed.
Dyud woz given fits bay d corpses of Marion Wilson, Jesse Fergusson & Tim Witherspoon.

This fight really I could see going either way, I think it would just be a matter of which fighter has the better night. What I am sure of is that they'd probably fight the whole 12 rounds or however long its scheduled and it would be a wicked action fight with both fighters dishing out a tone of punishment throughout.

Whats up Frankenfrank? Howe yoo bean? haha I like Mercer UD. Great jab, and quite
determined when he wanted to be. Mercer's chin is top notch, he took plenty of
bombs from Morrison and Lewis, whom he outjabbed. Its funny for someone who isn't
known for their punching power, Holy floored Mercer, Bowe, Tyson ( off balance KD, but
    stopped hi on his feet)

Tua. I think Mercer would fight Tua's fight and lose at it, but it obviously depends on a lot of variables.

Quite as usual, how r u ? just very few threads here are intriguing, and also few of d posters, so even when I have a good thing 2 post or a good reply, I usually refrain from it.
Mercer was contending during Tyson's time in prison, and still failed 2 win a belt in a 4 belts era. Tua would have never been as troubled by d likes of d corpses of Marion Wilson, Jesse Fergusson & Tim Witherspoon (watched). So much is made out of Mercer's close fight with Lewis, which I still have 2 watch.

In addition 2 my stylistic analysis of d fight in my previous post, I can add that Mercer was not as big & strong as Ibeabuchi or Rahman, and would have also fail 2 hold his own with Tua in d sumo contest (which Ibeabuchi did not win either), so he really had nothing 2 hold Tua off him in neither route d fight would have taken.

In a stark contrast 2d usual trend here, 1 does not win a fight vs some1 like Tua by just jabbing, which was quite all of what Mercer had, and he did not even excel @ it either.

I'm hangin in there bud. Give the Lewis/Mercer fight a watch when you
get a chance because its Mercer's best effort, very close fight I would have
no problem with Ray getting that win. I had scored it twice a year apart
and believe I had it a draw, then to Mercer by one. I feel Mercer on his
best night outjabbed Lennox (LL is not the greatest jabber) but still
when Ray brought his A game he was a force. Good point though, cant see Ray hurting Tua.

    Mercer outjabs and outworks Tua.

    Mercers chin nullifies Tuas fists.

I would say Mercer PTS 12 Rounds because he was the better Boxer. But this would been a hell of a Fight between two Granit Chins and very hard hitting mans
