Floyd Can't Hurt Bigger Guys, But If You're His Size, he can.

I've gone back through some of his fights. Especially the ones at or around 147, and it seems that if he's fighting someone his size, he can hurt you or drop you, but his power doesnt effect bigger guys as much.

He KO'D Hatton, and Dropped Dinamita. Both who were around his size in their fights. (People say Floyd had a 15 pound weight advantage against Dinamita, but in reality, Floyd doesnt cut weight to make weight and at peak condition comes in around 148-150, a 15 pound weight advantage would have Floyd at 160, which just isnt realistic)

He hurt Guerrero in the 8th round, to the point where he just stopped throwing back, if I remember correctly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww0XkiFb0LU (go to 31:43)

His power seems to not effect fighters who are bigger than him. At least not with one shot.

He hurt stunned both Canelo and Cotto in their fights. (both with Uppercuts)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJPaDjapV5Q (go to 46:01)

He stunned them but never hurt him.

The point of this is that I firmly believe Floyd can hurt or KO Pac. Either or. Im not saying it would happen and Im not saying he would win. So relax.

But Floyd and Pac are both coming into the fight 148-150. No weight advantage on either side. I know that Floyd can hurt him, but I think with some extra incentive (since it's freaking Pacquiao) he could probably knock him out.

Floyd does best when guys are his size, and Pac might be a little smaller frame wise, even if they are the same weight on fight night.

I would put some money down on Floyd KO'ing Pac if the fight happens. Pac isn't packing glass, but he's not packing granite either.

I agree. I don't know where this dumbass theory came that Floyd only fought guys smaller than him.

It would be hard for him to fight guys smaller than him. Most guys at 140 come in bigger than him. Danny, Lucas, Peterson, came in at 155, 157, and 159 repsectively.

Most guys at 147 are coming in between 155 and 165. And most 154 are somewhere between 160 and 170.

I was even surprised that Khan came in at 161 against Collazo.

Floyd's discipline is a gift and a curse. He's been outweighed by fighters since 130.

For comparison, against David Diaz at 135, Pac came in on fight night at 147.
Against Castillo at 135, Floyd came in at 138 and Castillo at 147.

He's a little guy, fighting in a generation where dudes are out of their weightclass.

Which is why even if he did "cheat the scales" against Dinamita, he didnt come in the ring with a huge weight advantage. He doesnt even rehydrate :thumbsup

Good to know he can't hurt me. I always wanted to pick a fight with that guy but although I'm much bigger and heavier I kinda thought he could possibly hurt me badly.

Now I only have to find a way to get past his pesky bodyguards :think

floyd never really fought smaller guys, the guy weighs in at 147, walks around about 150 and on fight night comes in at about 150 or 152 max (highest recorded weight was 152 against cotto i believe which was for a 154 fight)

cant remember the last time he gave up arm length on a person tho

he had him that clueless in the middle to late rounds if you watch them and look at the wierd **** he was doing (which did not work lol) and in the later rounds got so frustrated he blatently low blowed him, he may have stopped him late. as floyd is a fighter who definitely improves as the fight goes on he usually pushes his opponents in the 10th 11th and 12th round. if in the 12th he sees no chance of a knockout he usually goes back to coasting

floyd has enough power to keep guys close to 20lb heavier then him at bay. he has brittle hands but they aient weak in power

so is it your opinion that the hbo and showtime fight night weights have been edited in floyds favour before he was even a big draw in the sport ?

to be honest made that just sounds silly..

"GTFOH" ? seems awfully rude when i simply corrected what you said. floyd did infact stun and hurt judah, also left him that desperate for a way out he resorted to blatent fouling (that goes for ortiz aswell).

floyd would not drop barrera or morales, but if he has enough power to keep iron chinned mosley and a much bigger fighter in canelo at bay what makes you think barrera and morales would not be the same ? (and i say that as someone whos personal fav fighters are barrera and morales..)

its not his power its his timing more then anything even if you have a child flick his finger to your eye its gonna hurt its about the timing and placement nothing about his power
