Is Floyd mayweather the best ever?

I have one problem with you soliloquy. Just one. I thought it was solid.

My problem is that one win doesn't make up an entire resume.

Examples

Trinidad for De La Hoya and Vargas. But he also fought a bunch of bums too. And ended his career on back to back losses.

Chris John fought Marquez at his best weight. But also fought a bunch of bums in Indonesia.

Joe beat Hopkins and Kessler, but fought a bunch of bums prior to that too.

One fight doesnt make up a resume.

Floyd might lack a "great" win. I think he has a couple, but that's the argument people use.

But he has a lot of very good wins. Most of the people he fought, were top in their division. Back to back to back to back to back. Rarely any tuneups. The fighters he uses as tuneups, are fighters that give just about anyone else hell.

Robert Guerrero is seen as a tuneup on his resume now, if anyone else beats Robert Guerrero 12-0, it would be labeled a big win, and one of the standouts on their resume. If Thurman or Porter, or Khan or even Pac, fought him today, it would be seen as a very good win, because he's a solid fighter with a solid resume.

Floyd has plenty of good wins, from solid competition, coming off the biggest wins of their careers.

Just my opinion.

Leaving this thread, I cant handle another May-Pac debate. Im growing tired of it.

 

He's a level below boxer-punchers like Leonard, Sweet Pea and Hearns (to name few) in my book.
Compare Floyd's best fight/win with fights like the all-out 15 round war of Leonard vs Duran, Sweet Pea vs Chavez or Taylor vs Chavez.

Yeah like I've said if you don't recognize that he's in atleast the top 20 then your blind and just butthurt about that he hasn't lost.

 

It aint that easy to say he is top 20, history of boxing has so many great fighters that its not that easy as saying he for sure is top 20, i can tell you this he cant be over SRL, SRR, Ali just to name a few, dont get me wrong Floyd is great fighters but its not so easy to crack top 20...
