    Graded on a curve and factoring in that lower-weight guys are supposed to age more rapidly, Marquez is more impressive at 40 than Hopkins at 50. :deal

    Alvarado is slow, nothing behind his punches, and doesn't move his head. Not busy, not cutting.off the ring or putting effective pressure. Smh.

    that is an awful style match up for Juan. He is so textbook - Floyd has those guys timed perfectly. Never want to see that. If you put Floyd in against a traditional guy he looks invincible again.

    Marquez is circling left and blocking or sashaying away from every attack by Alvarado. More varied offense now by Alvarado, leading with left upper-hooks after bending his knee on the instep, but Marquez is still making him miss and countering with good textbook shots. Alvarado gets a piece of the body with his uppercuts, and grazes the head of Marquez with his right hand while moving straight in on the moving target. BLISTERING right hand counter by Marquez after quickly ducking. Alvarado dusts the top of Marquez's head with a flurry but eats a couple of solid counters as Marquez ducks and exits the pocket.
