get this clown off HBO his 'Face Offs' are awful with cream puff questions. He was NEVER a Boxer nor was a Boxing Journalist. He is a case of Nepotism and a disgrace. He doesn't know Boxing. Merchant was much better than this Glass Jawed clown. Thoughts?:think
Yeah, Kellerman got famous by creating and hosting that stupid ESPN show 'Around the Horn,' which is one of the worst things ESPN has ever produced. (Don't be fooled that it's not crap because it's still on the air. Remember, CNN's 'Crossfire' lasted for years, too!)
I like Max. That's just me. But I can see the viewpoint of people who don't like him cause he never boxed or did anything boxing related except do some shows.
Remember he went to Fox Sports when ESPN let him go and he failed with that around the horn rip off "I-Max" :roflatsch He is where he is because of Daddy's connections. He isn't qualified. Period.
Max got the attention of Mike tyson in New York when max was only 17 because of max kellermans breakdowns of the greatest fighters in the history of boxing and greatest historical matchups, worked for espn friday night fights for a very long time before making it on around the horn as host where hbo FOX saw potential in him which they maximized to a degree and hbo took to the next level.... now I'm not disagreeing with your view but I believe max does his job well (granted he doesn't come up with the questions hbo does) and does a great unbiased analysis of fights.
And let me add, in case you guys don't know, Max's regular job is as a radio host in Los Angeles ESPN. Dude obviously loves basketball more than boxing (same as me) and I like the guy. The HBO boxing thing is a side thing.
No he was offered a really big contract by HBO to leave fox and a contract which allowed him to still be under contract with ESPN which he gets paid well for being a sportnation host and espn 710 los angeles host. Please speak facts. As an aspiring intern (Currently in college I do my homework on these guys)
I don't remember him messing up too much. He stuttered a little but that's it. I give translators a break, job has to be stressful considering Kellerman's questions go on for a long time.
I noticed that. He seemed a bit confused. Not sure if there were issues with the mic or what. That's a tougher job than people realize. Especially when you're put on the spot on live tv.
After every HBO show there is never a shortage of "HBO needs to fire _____" threads. If it's not Max, it's Lampley, if not Lampley its the interpreter. If not the interpreter its Harold or RJJ. lol
