Who would be the fighters from any era that could be bad fights for established greats in another? Are there any that spring to mind?

For example: Could Jerry Quarry have shocked Rocky Marciano?

    What about Walcott vs Ali?

Any styles based nightmare fights jump out at you?

Alexis Arguello would have his hands full with Henry Armstrong.

Would love to have seen Floyd deal with Paul Williams at 147 lbs circa 2007.

Cotto vs Julian Jackson at 154

I really HOPE to Hell that you're not suggesting that Danny Garcia could have beaten Pryor.

    I really hope not.

The Hawk would have kicked the **** outta Garcia.

Ummm........ no. He's not. FAR from it. Danny is a good, solid all around fighter. But he's not talented enough to ever be "great".

LLoyd Honeyghan circa 1986/87, would be a nightmare for many greats. He flew in under the radar for Curry and created a shock but that night he was so focussed and ready, I think he would have given any of the greats a tough night. I am not saying he beats most or all the ATG's at WW, just gives them a nightmare fight.

Jersey Joe: Ali's nightmare: trickier, faster, smarter, fitter than Young, and a heck of a wallop as well!

Good choice. I remember me and a friend feeling sorry for Lloyd having to fight Curry; never had we been so wrong!

Lloyd was very good, but started to rely too much on power, forgetting the skills that he showed against Curry. Do you reckon he could give Mayweather a fight at his best, or did his style not match up well?
