Didn't Cotto's last siginificant win (Margo II) come after both Mosley and Pac detroyed his soul?

The obvious answer here is Kelly Pavlik. Pavlik was THE lineal middleweight champion of the world having won his title by KO of an undefeated champion.

Exactly WHO did Cotto beat for a lineal title?

That doesn't make him more decorated or accomplished.

    Yes it does.

Pavlik's win over Taylor trumps ANYTHING on Cotto's resume. Anything. Winning paper titles means jack...

No it doesn't. Cotto will be rated higher than Pavlik on the all time list because he is more decorated and accomplished.

You know this is the same argument I used back in the day against Cotto but like him or not the guy has a hell of a resume and is a three division Champ.I root for Martinez and his MW run has been great to watch but Pavlik & Williams are the two most accomplished guys he's been in with at MW Pavlik has some good wins and was THE Champ but nothing to really write home about Williams just got by off the "most feared" moniker but never beat anybody of real note except a dubious decision over Martinez. Just because Martinez probably beats Cotto relatively easy doesn't change the fact that Cotto is the best he's been in with. Outside of guys who've fought May/Pac any fighter between WW/MW fights Cotto and he's the best guy they've been in with on paper atleast.

Pavlik would have scared the tattoos completely off of Miguels Body .

And Paul Williams would have swallowed Miguels soul from the very first round .

Hahaha that's probably true but think about it like this, if D.Garcia and M.Pacquiao fight in Nov and Garcia steamrolls Pacquiao in 5 rounds. just because guys like Matthysse/Judah put up a better fight doesn't change the fact that Pacquiao would be the best guy he's fought.

WTF are you talking about with this "decorated and accomplished" BS?

Exactly WHO did Cotto beat to be considered more "decorated and accomplished" than Pavlik?

Cotto has *never* beaten the #1 guy in whatever division he's competed in. *NEVER*. Winning paper titles means jack and **** when compared to winning a LINEAL title from a young, strong and UNDEFEATED champion - as is the case with Pavlik.

You had better stop smoking the heroin...

Cotto has never been a champion in any division he's competed in. Paper titles mean jack and ****. Lets call a spade a "spade".

Cotto has taken on all comers with most of them having undefeated records with high KO percentage!!!
