Paddy Fitzgerald - 'We will take the fight straight to Carl'

Can't see this happening IMO, George knows he needs to pace himself for 12 rounds - its a big gamble to pour out a lot of energy trying to get Froch out of their in the first quarter of the fight

 

I see it ending before the 5th. Carl is getting retired 11 days time...

 

if they ain't grandstanding then they ain't learnt a thing from the 1st fight.

 

They wont do this Groves is going to counter Frochs beak nose all night

 

Can't see Groves adopting these tactics

 

IF Groves fight like he did in the first fight if he cant keep Carl down or force a stoppage it will go the same way and he will get ground down.

 

He's also been moaning about Froch fouling...

Bad stategy IMO if true, groves needs to do what he did the first fight but pace it better sticking to 2 punch combos, 3 at most, then just get out of range and control with the jab. Throwing everything at froch could end in disaster, if carl survives it (which I reckon he would) then groves is ****ed.

 

paddy has been saying this from the end of the first fight and sticking with it. they plan to expose froch's inside game.

 

complains about dirty tactics, defends ward's "old school" use of the head on kessler. hmm...

He's got a point. McCracken is calling for Froch to punch the back of the head and that comes just after Froch threw one very late after the bell.
