He's had good fights at TR up until now and fought everyone, having rematches with tim and marquez would be pointless now, 147 is much better outside of TR for him
I'm still having troubkle understanding the logic of Manny ducking Mayweather. Why? Floyd isn't that fearsome as a brutal KO artist or anything near this and it's not as if Manny is trying to protect his record as he's fought some fighters very capable, if not seemingly likely, to deliver an "L" on his record in the past few years. In my opinion, I think Manny just doesn't care as much about making the fight as the rest of us and he's loyal to a fault to those he feels lifted him out of abject poverty and obscurity, including Arum in that group, even to his detriment.
No, he's in debt, and can't afford another loss or drop to his stock. Its as simple as that. He isn't afraid physically, but financially, a loss to Floyd would end his career.
A rematch with Bradley is definitely pointless since he already beat him twice(have to count the blatant robbery in the first fight) though a fifth fight with Marquez is definitely not pointless especially after the fourth fight's result. That said, Arum will always find opponents and find ways to sign new guys. Having a poor roster at the moment is not the end of the road for a veteran like Arum.
He's "lost" to Bradley and Marquez in the last few years and still commands a hefty pay day, so I'm not buying that, either.
It's different than losing to Floyd. Pacquiao's whole selling point is that he's the guy to beat Floyd. THat's what it's always been. That's why after he lost to Marquez his stock dropped, and his PPV dropped. Because he wasnt seen as a threat to Floyd. Not his stock is somewhat rising again after he beat Bradley. Losing to Floyd would end all his selling points. People don't think Pac without thinking Floyd. "Mayweather Is Ducking Pacquiao" is like an American Slogan. The day he loses to Floyd, his career is over. Bet on it.
