No doubt. I'm sure there will be fans that aren't willing to change and will keep blaming Floyd for everything but we have to try and ignore them, try to clean this forum up a bit and hopefully the sport. Let's just keep it real, did Floyd really need extra testing? Probably not. But at the same time PAC walked away over a small amount of blood lol. Bob Arum never wanted this fight in my opinion.

Bob Arum is the centerpiece of the whole thing in my most honest opinion. If you have time, here's an article I wrote on it last year.

For once, I actually 100% agree with you.

Fight didnt happen, fight wont happen. I honestly dont know which side is more culpable, but personally I dont find either of their stories to be particularly compelling or consistent over the years.

As far as I am concerned if both guys really wanted the fight it would happen, but they dont and arguing over which does and which doesnt is unprovable and pointless (and probably has changed more than once over the years). They both get huge "ATG points" deducted from their legacy for not fighting each other, and that is that.

As far as future goes... I think its incumbent on fans to speak loudly in the future, including with our wallets.. to help ensure this kind of crap doesnt happen again. Politics and promoters be damned, for boxing to thrive we need rivalries and the "tough" fights to happen. GGG/Ward, Stevenson/Kovalev, Rigo/Santa Cruz and many more.

Froch and Groves setting a good example in UK.. they loathe each other but $$ and fans said meet again and they are. Canelo is setting a good example with Lara by taking the tough fight to prove something. Its a damn shame that the Floyd/Manny affair has turned into boxing's biggest black eye in recent memory instead of its showcase event, but its time to look to the future and think about the intriguing fights that can still be made.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The best thing we can do is look to the future. Im actually excited for it, and more than ready to leave the whole Floyd-Manny debate behind.

pac is a full time congressman, reportedly being eyed for a senatorial slot in early 2016.

pac's promotional co. does business with arum's tr too.

and he is reportedly eyeing to be a part of a professional basketball expansion team this year.

this is outside of his showbiz /endorsement/ pastoral commitments.

pac has varied interests in life. boxing is a small part of his life now. sad but thatls life.

He wouldn't win a seat in presidency here.
Senate is perhaps the farthest he can go.
Too many corrupt officials around to let Pac win, unless he himself joins those said brotherhood of corrupt and cheating politicians.

And if for some reason he does win then I'm outta here for sho.

he has promotinal company in the phils that is managed by konz, that brings some fil boxers abroad, some in tr promotions.

they also stage boxing events in the country.

pac is a full time politician when not fighting. he doesnt micro-managed anything, if you understand the word. he cant and he wont.

    learn idiot.

Mayweather is the most powerful fighter in the sport. He wants to fight someone. Then it will happen. it's as plain and simple as that.
