no...he was offered 7 with a two fight extension. he said he wasn't interested in an extension so the price dropped to 2mil.

that's not a duck. that's knowing your worth and not settling for less.

Chavez Jr turned down $5mil for the GGG fight and $7mil in his next fight...win or lose.
That's $12million just for showing up, making weight and pissing clean, 2 times. He didn't even have to win a single round.
If Chavez Jr. beat GGG, he would have made $10million in his next fight. So if Chavez Jr did what he usually doesn't do and actually WON a big fight, he would've made $17million.
The GGG fight and one more fight and that is it.
Guaranteed $12 and potentially $17million dollars for a habitual f*ckup and all around attitude problem and that still wasn't enough to get him in the ring with GGG.
(sarcasm)Guys don't get paid enough to fight GGG though. They aren't scared.(sarcasm):rofl

--Keane added that "the so-called upside on the pay-per-view did not even kick in until Top Rank made multiple millions of dollars, more than Chavez and likely more than both fighters combined. This is why the fight is no longer happening. It's completely disturbing and completely unfair how these negotiations were."--
