Canelo exposed him, knocked him down and gave him a boxing lesson. Certain "fans" demanded that Trout won this fight, which is completely utter bull****. Eventually, Lara gave him even a bigger lesson. Knocked him down either. I don't see Trout winning any fights against good fighters. The fight against Cotto didn't impress me either. Will he end as prospect tester and being completely destroyed by Szymanski or other prospects? Right now, Trout is still being hyped but I can not find anything that justifies that hype.
Canelo outclassed Trout . Lara straight up embarrassed Trout . Maybe he could move up to 160 . But then again with GGG wrecking havoc in that division , I doubt it will happen . But no Trouts career is not over , he can still hold his own against 154 pounders . Austin Trout vs Jermell Charlo/Jermall Charlo would both be interesting fights . Trout would be a legit test for either Charlo brother .
I like trout and thought canelo clearly beat him. I still don't understand the controversy. I think trout can still make money and be a gate keeper but he won't be considered top dog, ever.
Trout is about as active as Ward and just as exciting in the ring.Seems like a good guy but not note worthy.
Certainly not. Losing to a couple of the division's elite is no reason to stick your head in the sand. I would favor Trout over half the current world titlists at 154lbs. (Molina and the winner of Andrade vs. Rose - which is most probably Andrade...) He would be a handful or stumbling block for most of the up-and-comers, as well, including Nelson and even the Charlo kids. Trout vs. Martirosyan in a rematch of their Olympic trials meet in 2004 would be a great, 50-50 match-up and would produce a worthy contender for any of the belts. Trout is still plenty relevant and has plenty left to accomplish if he so chooses and stays as motivated and fit as he was on his quiet rise up (which, remember, came through hard work and devoid of the benefit of major promotional backing or American TV exposure until very late into his career...)
Szymanski? :rofl:rofl:rofl AYFKM? Szymanski. Trout would expose that boy's rickety balance and footwork and light him up, probably knocking him out inside 5-6 rounds with the way Patryk carries his chin invitingly like a woman of low virtue on a street corner.
