From cutting off the ring so well, to throwing combinations to the head and then to the body and back up to the head, to having knockout power, ring intelligence.

Great performance by Chavez here, this was 1 of his last great performances before he started to decline.... Mexico`s greatest ever fighter, a complete fighter with a chin of cast iron, the best pound for pound fighter in the world from 1987-1992

    Comparing GGG to Chavez

Is like comparing a Lada to a Ferrari

    They are both cars
They both have doors and wheels
    They both move

any good fighter can beat bums , when you prove that vs ATGs or HOFs is a whole different story, is not a good time to make comparisons on any aspect...wait until GGG has great performances vs great fighters and then maybe we can start comparisons... you shouldnt even compare their jab at this point...

OK i see your point of view and I'm taking nothing away from both fighters, I'm just simply talking about the fights that GGG has had i can see similarities. In no way am I comparing GGG side by side to be already an ATG neither a HOF. Just simply in an attacking mode constantly attacking never backing up and vicious head and body blows. GGG still has to prove himself, but as a fighter he does have some similarities.

the one glaring similarity i see is that neither guy has a notable win in their first 29 bouts.

Abel showed him a video of Chavez fights and told GGG he was going to fight like him. He said it in an interview

No one is question GGGz skill. They question why he
barely has a live body on his resume.

Ask Quillin, Martinez, Sturm, Chavez, Geale, etc., they are all ducking him..............Golovkin can't force anyone to fight him.......................however, looks as if he will get a good fight coming up. The boxing org.'s should not rank unproven fighters who can't fight, a fighter should prove themselves...............

Chavez knocked people out by using his accumulation of punches. Most of his KO wins went to the long distance. He was not a big puncher like Golovkin.

Regarding their chins, I will have to see Golovkin more in the ring to conclude it while Chaves's chin was so reliable.
