What do you guys think of him? Not that fast, not the hardest hitter. But dang he's tough as nails. I like watching him fight for some reason. Does he belong with fighters like Ortiz and Josesito Lopez, or is he more Karass, Berto, journeyman? (By the way just trying to give everyone a break from Mayweather, Pac threads).

I say he is a journeyman, but one of the better ones. He is not scared of nobody and if he cherry picked like everyone else he would probably be a ppv star. He is mad underrated and I have nothing but respect for this man.

Agreed. I hate when that cut on his eye opens up though like it has the last 3 fights. You're just waiting and expecting the doc and ref to stop it.

I think Gabe is talented, but no better than a D fighter (world level) He has the athleticism to hang with the best but at times he just doesnt fight smart. He's lost to fighters who for elite fighters would be labeled cherrypicks. I like watching him fight, he has the heart of a champ, but not the skill or IQ to match. You cant keep losing fights and stay in the game. You have to win at the end of the day. I just think hes underachieving and could be a lot better than he is. If he fixed the holes in his fight game early on, learned how be patient and pick his spots. And didnt suffer all those Ls. He probably could have been a big draw. He has that urban charasmatic swag to him. Along with being Rican by blood. He could have possibly been a big draw, something like A Danny Garcia. But you have to win. And he just doesnt do that.

Respect tho for putting in the B.S.T's for the sport. Cant ever take that away from him.

I rate everyone there above him.

Ortiz and Berto succeeded on the World Level at one point. Both champs and pretty good at one point.

Probably around Karass-Lopez level, but more talented.

I see him in a few years down the road as a great ambassador for the sport. Hes very likable and he is ALWAYS down for a fight. You cant hate a guy who throws his heart onto every right hand he chucks.

He's at least C level at this point if not B-. D level fighters don't give Quillin those kinds of problems. He also lasted longer against GGG than Macklin and Stevens, who are both B level. He got dominated by Charlo but Charlo looked spectacular. I'd pick Jermell over Canelo and most top Jr MWs. I don't see how a bunch of losses make you a journeyman if your losing to elite fighters. It just means your not elite. A lot of "world-level" guys would have just as many losses as Rosado if they fought all the best fighters in their division.

Problem is I dont consider GGG; Charlo or Quillen elite. All B fighters until proven otherwise in my opinion. I feel people are too quick to give out that elite or "A" title.

    This is a thread on the A B C D level fighters

If Golovkin and Quillin are not elite MWs then who are? Martinez, Sturm, and Geale? None of those guys are an entire class above GGG or Quillin. Anyone with eyes can see that.

Elite for the weight class? Yeah

    Elite in general? No

They are elite because of a weak division. Quillen is an "elite" at 160 but would be considered low level at 168 behind Froch, Ward, Kessler, etc. And is probably a good distance behind GGG, does that make GGG an A++ fighter? No.

Because Rosado puts up a good effort against B fighters who are A middleweights but still loses further supports him being a D fighter.

A Fighters Make C and D fighters look like ****.

    Pac-Rios was A-D (maybe C) Ward-Gabe is A-D on a complete scale.

    Quillen-Gabe is B-D on a complete scale.

Fair enough, but you can only judge a fighter's class by the opposition in his weight class unless you want to get into hypothetical P4P bs. Quillin would look terrible against SMWs, just like Floyd would look terrible against Quillin. They're still elite against guys their own size, which is all that counts outside of P4P discussions.

Disagree again. A Fighters can make up for some size. I wouldn't pick a smaller A fightee ober a bigger A fighter. But I would favor Floyd over most at 160 because there are very few A fighters. The has already fought dudes that come in the same weight on fightnight as Quillen

The same way I,d pick Pac over Gabe in a fight. Size matters, but skills matter more.

    Just my opinion.

Quillin is 5'11 and weighed 178 rehydrated vs Konecny. He would stop Floyd in a few rounds. Rosado is 5'11 and around 172. He also stops Pacquiao in a few. Floyd and Pacquiao can use their skills to beat bigger guys like Canelo, Margarito, and De La Hoya, but we're talking about and entirely different kind of big when you're talking about full blown MWs.

Bottom line Rosado has mixed it with the best at 160 and 154 and acquitted himself well enough in most cases. I think that's enough to qualify above the level of journeyman, even if his divisions aren't the deepest.

I reckon Rosado would beat Sturm & Geale
