How comes Groves didn't sign with Eddie Hearn?

    Was it because he was too close to Froch? I get the feeling it was.

    What are your thoughts on why Hearn couldn't seal the deal?

    I know money was a massive factor, but Groves had the chance to be a household name with Hearn and SKY, IMO.

    He wasn't offered anything post froch/groves 1 so couldn't sign.

    Think Hearn has dropped a bollock by being so far up Frochs arse. Could have made a fortune out of him.

    It would have made sense to sign with hearn. Dont know if anything was offered to him but with the possible match ups with degale then callum smith theres some serious money to be earned there

    People making out Hearn has messed up :lol:

    Groves is a ****. Hearn doesnt like him. So Hearn never made him an offer to join as a 'Matchroom fighter'

    Groves could have potentially been his next big thing if he beats Froch, who maybe will only be around for 2/3 more fights so Groves would have represented natural progression for Eddie.

    Maybe Groves simply wanted too much control or more than Eddid was willing to give up anyway

    Eddies got degale he doesn't care about groves and his controlling ways , eddie wants no part of groves demanding ways and the supposed mind games.

    Hearn not liking Groves is irrelevant. He's a business man. Froch has not got many fights left and Groves appears to be the heir to the SMW thrown. Plus he has a style that the public will like. If I were Hearn, I'd try everything to snap him up.

    Yeah defo.

    Hearn and Froch are very matey didn't Froch reference it after the 1st fight?

    Groves is trying to carve his own niche - not sure the german promoters are the way forward but might be a good plan B if he looses

    I think Sauerland is the right move.

    KEssler looking for one last payday, a very winnable unification against Arthur Abraham.

    They put on massive shows in germany and there is plenty of money for massive fights in Germany.

    They will negotiate very well with sky / boxnation and will get a good slive of british money as well.

    I think its a great move.

    Really hope they organise a big fight for Groves in Germany. I fancy a trip.
