There were also a lot of people that thought and picked Marquez to beat Pacquiao... Not sure how that factors in, really. Of course both of them are suspicious. It's professional sporting. I suspect every athlete on the top level is on PED's. This. Given both Marquez and Pacquiao's track record, that seems highly unlikely. It's a great achievement, no doubt. But not a better victory, in my opinion. Pascal is hardly the era defining LHW... You thought Jeff Lacy had "ATG potential," really? Wow, anybody who got that far ahead of themselves isn't too bright...
Yes. And he would had been if he hadn't stepped in front of the train named Super Joe, or wisely decided to quit in between round 1 and 2 when he realised Joe was unbeatable rather than continue to take 6 and 7 punch combos to his gormless dome. He is the one who wasn't too bright.
hard to think of a greater win honestly. The injustice (in my opinion) of the 2nd/3rd fights and the beating JMM received in the 5th made that KO shot much sweeter for him
It would've been a good win if Marquez hadn't hired Memo for PEDs and cheated to a win His steroid use is becoming more and more evident each day
Pac's fans say Pac never failed a drug test and many suspected he was on something after refusing testing in the Floyd negotiations. So when did Marquez fail a test? Stfu lmao.
Did Pac develop steroid acne? Did Pac's physique change from lean to a body builder? Did Pac hire a PED expert? Was Pac suddenly able to knock down opponents he barely fazed in the past? Does Pac's S&C coach have a history of helping athletes cheat? Does Pac's S&C coach have interviews where he mentions studying boxing testing procedure and have created multiple undetectable PEDs? The list goes on.
Tarver-Jones II, Mayweather-Hoya, Martinez-Williams II just off the top of my head are better more significant wins imo. Tarver-Jones ended the aura of invincibility Jones had, Mayweather-Hoya was a changing of the guard from the last generation to the next, Martinez-Williams II was the start of one of the most recent dominate title reigns. The KO was spectacular but realistically Marquez should have three wins over Pac so him beating him in fight IV wasn't a BIG surprise how it ended was the only shocker.
but who among them thought jmm would ko pac in that fashion? to bhops credit...he predicted his win down to the letter.
Absolutely Not! Bernard should have been the clear favourite in that one. Tito had no resume at MW. If you want a great Hopkins win, look to Tarver, a great victory for Hopkins. Or, at 49, Shumenov ! A record unlikely to be broken anytime soon.
