Just watched it and they both had their moments. I could tell about half way through Froch was trying not to fall to pieces and he was doing that thing where he closes his eyes like he did on ringside in the run up to the first fight.
You forget groves jumped out his chair on ringside vs degale, not sure that qualifies as holding it together.
You mean the nice fella Degale who dropped Mick and went running to Eddie when he got a mandatory? Or Degale who lost to Groves in both Pro and Amateur ranks? must really know and like GG. atsch
He didnt beat Groves up in 7 and 8 but he was working himself in to the fight, whilst groves on the other hand was visibly slowing down.
Finally got round to watching this. Getting a bit sick of the same old **** really. Thought groves started off better but froch ground him down in the end. Not seen george so flustered before. I wouldn't say froch owned him though. For me froch could have gone himself and was only just about holding it together. They are both starting to look a bit daft to be honest.
You know these two remind me of a couple of blokes who worked for me . One was quite an intellegent bloke , who loved to debate and argue , he was very comfortable and confident when he picked arguments , he could also be a bit of a bully he tended to pick his mark who he argued with , and had a tendency to want to argue with people he could intimidate . Now the other to put it bluntly was a bit dumb , he got flustered and embarressed , and all tongue tied when the other started on him . He was a good lad , just not an argumentive type. Now i had a word with them and told them both i was sick of it and if they did'nt pack it in , there BOTH sacked ,, The younger guy who was the dumb one , he collarred me on my own , he said he could'nt afford to lose his job , and that it was'nt his fault, the other was always having a go , . I know i said , he throws out the baiit and you bite , I told him I know he's needling you but , i can't sack just him when its the two of you doing the dance . He said what shall i do , and i said well my advice is next time he has a go with his snide remark , don't go with the flo and argue , because he knows he's gonna get the better , JUST SMACK HIM . . iT DID'NT TAKE LONG AND SMART ASS NMADE A COMMENT , AND THE YOUNG FELLA GAVE HIM A OPEN HAND SLAP , he told him he's had enough ,and next time it will be a fist , , smart ass apolagized , and after that we had a happy work place , and they both kept there jobs until i retired , . Groves reminds me off the smart ass , he knows he'll win the war with words , Froch you can see is uncomfortable with it , But i would'nt read too much into that, Because when there in the ring , Froch is gonna feel very comfortable , and on an even keel . Oh and a side note these two actually get on well now , and i know that the younger fella got laid off again , a couple of weeks ago , i rang smart ass and told him, and he got him a job working with him . Be the same with Froch and Groves , don't be suprised if after Froch -Groves , THREE , Froch retires and goes partners with Groves , in a bad suit shop .
I thought you were gonna say ignore him. Not give him a slap!!! I love the way you get the sack for winding each other up but not for giving someone a slap
And offered his hand to make a bet, which DeGale didnt take. Groves sat back down and didnt get physical. I dont think Groves lost it by wanting to place a bet that he wouldnt get knocked out
