Not really sure anyone hates Stiverne. Saying other fighters have fought better opposition, or picking someone to beat him doesn't equal hate.
Im positive that Don King knows that Wilder is a china chinned fraud. He's probably salivating at the idea of one upping his contemporary, Al Haymon. I think Arreola woulda had a higher probability of being the one to stop the Wilder hype train, somewhere around 90%, but Stiverne is still 60-40 over Wilder by KO and King knows this. And if he wants to really make Stiverne a star, he'll be smart by keeping Bermane away from long tall boxers with skill like Fury, Price, Wlad, and to an extent Dimitrenko. Guys who work almost exclusively off the jab, Stivernes biggest weapon. While I would favor Stiverne over both Dimitrenko and Price, due to their lanky bodies and lack of interior defense, I don't like Stiverne vs Pulev, Wlad, or Fury. But if Stiverne can get wins over Wilder, Jennings, Mitchell, Dimitrenko and Price.......before finally getting taken out by Fury or Pulev or Potvetkin.......he'd probably be a lock for the HOF. I really don't see the hate for him. There may be apathy just because people don't think he stands a chance against Wlad so they're not spending their energy hyping him up, but that doesn't equal hate. Neither does expecting Wlad to knock him out.
Habent seen anyone hate on Stiverne he is a clear #2 in the Division and I think he shatters Wilders Glass Jaw in the Fall in 2 or 3 rounds in an easy fight.
It's not Stiverne who is hated, it's Don King. Don King has said that he will take Stiverene on a world tour, take some easy fights with unknown and unranked fighters. Don King will tell the WBC to go to Hell....................look how Don King kept all the champions from fighting each other years ago............
