Fight at the 200lb weight limit.:think I think of all the current HW's CW's since the CW division first began, Adamek looked like Marciano in style, size, power etc. Marciano we all know, BTFO Louis and made him his biitch. That said, Louis was taking on all comers at that time, fighting 9 times on his bum of the month tour in his final year. With a good camp, plenty of rest, how would Louis fair with ATG CW Tomasz Adamek?
The amazing aspect is that they would be the exactly same size. And Adamek is considered very small... Honestly, watching tapes of both boxers in their prime, Adamek has a clear edge. Busier, throws more punches, with an iron chin. Louis wouldn't have the several inches and lbs of weight and height and reach advantage he used to have over the super middleweights he towered over to beat. And Adamek is better in the inside game. Adamek decision or possibly even ko, giving the ridicolous size and power of the opponents that hurt and stopped Louis.
Wow, an unbiased opinion making useful points. I picked Adamek by stoppage for the same reasons you cited. Facts, combined with subjective opinion are the way to gauge mythical matchups.....hate just don't do it for me. I hate Roidnard Hopkins, but he'd give SRR a very good fight prime for prime. I don't know if I could pick a winner. I hate Lennox Lewis, but I consider him to be the GOAT at HW. H2H and resume. I hate Adonis Stevenson, but I wouldnt say he be starched by the Slapmeister. I hate the Slapster but I wouldnt say that Darius Michelzewski would school him. Ppls hate is more often than not based on race. The Klitschkos and Lewis brought out a bunch of nostalgia fans and self hating white guys and racist blacks. These fans aint fans. They're dikk suckers and haters. I think Adamek has a legitimate shot at outpointing Louis. Louis is the better puncher but not as busy. And since Louis, even with his power, would have a tough time KO'ing Adamek, I definitely think he has a shot outpointing Louis.
Big Adamek fan here, but I believe he'd wind up getting his ass kicked pretty badly in this one. :smoke

B/C I have like 20 Marciano fights on VHS, and I watched every one of em like 10X. And watching boxing as my primary sport, ahead of NBA, ahead of baseball, and ahead of football.......I make valid comparisons based off what I KNOW...not what I think other's believe. They're similarly built, same exact L hook, exact same OH R.....footwork is almost indistinguishable.....but since Vitali beat Adamek in a one sided fight, so would every single other HW in the history of boxing.:rofl:rofl:rofl
