Because Groves got under his skin. Angered him frustrated him. You need to go into a fight neutral, relaxed with only the job in hand on your mind. Don't want your heart rate spiking because the other fellow got under your skin.

Carl: "Hey Grovesy, let's put on a show for the fans to make them think we're not mates, what do you say, Grovesy?

George: "Alright with me, mate. I know, why don't you act like a fookin nutter and shove me. Then I'll be all cheesed off and say I'm going to ring up my solicitor. They ought to fancy that, don't you think, mate?

Carl: "They'll be chuffed to bits, mate. I'm gonna act like a right fookin ****. You'll see. Then we can all go out on the **** tonight."

    George: "That's ace, mate."

But why at this stage of his career? Why did Froch never feel the need for a psychologist before?

It was on the face to face on sky sports last night, they discussed it between themselves for a couple of minutes.

It's in a recent interview and Froch was being as sarky as hell. I can't fathom why some people think he was serious. :patsch:lol:

Is it confirmed that this is his first time?. Many fighters seek help from sports psychologists, this isn't anything new.

So many profile views it's become embarrassing really. The admin has had to limit access to my profile because the traffic was crashing the server.

2 possible reasons. Firstly Groves won the mental battle prior to the first fight and got under Froch's skin and Froch is using the sports psychologist to unnerve Groves much like when Collins used a hypnotist when he fought Eubank.

Secondly Froch was rattled by the result of the first fight and needs the edge a psychologist may provide to approach the rematch in a more positive frame of mind.

Froch has a Glass Ego. It was brutally shattered with pieces spread all over the canvas after the first fight with Groves.

    Glass Egos exist in boxing.
